If any of you have ever wondered what one of Daniel’s sermons feels like.
The world is an awfully scary place. There’s so much suffering and uncertainty in this life. All anyone wants is to feel safe and loved, and to feel like there’s a purpose to all of this. It’s what you want - that’s why you’re here - and it’s what I want. It’s why I became a preacher. I sought a place in life that brought me closer to my purpose. God is my purpose. He’s your purpose too, and everyone - everyone - can reach their purpose in life.
I won’t lie, friends, it’s not easy. It took me a long time to become who I am today. Even I struggled with my Faith in God. It’s something we all have to do, to truly appreciate Him and the love that He has for us.
But do we really appreciate Him? Do we really strive to be as good to Him as He is to us? So many people take His love for granted. And the sad truth is, friends, that this world is full of sin. The people are sinful. You and I, we’re sinful! And that’s why we are the people we are today. We devote every last part of ourselves to God - mind, body, and soul - so that he might cleanse us of the sin we carry.
But we can’t expect to be handed salvation; something as great as the presence of God’s Glory is something that we have to earn, to prove ourselves worthy to be saved. But we haven’t. We’ve done nothing but disappoint God by straying further and further from His light; We live today in ways that God never intended us to. Truly, Eden was the place of perfection for Man, where we lived as God intended, and even once Man was cast out for our Original Sin, we should have sought to live by His direction, guided by His hand as we were in Eden. We would never be perfect outside of His grace, but over time, over the centuries and centuries since Man was cast from Eden, we’ve done nothing but shun the life that God intended for us.
That’s why we work so hard for our salvation. We are, by nature, impure. And that is my purpose in life. I was sent to help cleanse humanity, to help restore purity to a world of sinners so that Man may grow closer to God, to be worthy of being saved, and to be worthy of being chosen to ascend to Heaven to bask in the Glory of God.
We are all children of God, and all children need disciplining so that they may grow up to be pure and righteous before they to be judged for the weight of their sins.
I want to protect you; I want to cleanse you; I want to bring you closer to God so that your soul may ascend to paradise above to reside with Him. I am your means for ascension, and salvation can be found only through my guiding hand.
That’s the purpose I have been given in life: to help you!
