The den is cold and the memories of Wildbillow flood Twigpaw's head. He doesn't say it out loud, but he often wonders how he could be anything like his father, and why he doesn't feel like he can.

Weedflop

When she was a young cat in CrowClan, Weedflop was happy with her choice to become a healer. Herbs had always fascinated her, she got to teach the Clan about basic herb knowledge and how to treat small wounds, and she even had minimal complaints about training Ravensmoke to become her successor. But as time went on and Weedflop grew older, she felt trapped by the idea that this duty would be forever, and she hadn't truly considered CrowClan's law against healers retiring until her peers began to speak of it around her. The opportunity to rest came with Hedgehogspin's announcement of EveningClan, and she requested to defect to their group as not a healer, but an elder.

Cilantrofang

After a warrior left a scar on Cilantrokit's neck from how roughly he removed her from the nursery, the codekeepers of CrowClan sticking up for her really left an impression and she chose to follow in their footsteps to protect others in the future. Her experiences left her an incredibly strict cat and although she got along well with her Clanmates, she left little room in her life for fun and didn't have much care for the story of the fallen star. She had no desire to join EveningClan for herself, but the circumstances of several other cats caused her to follow suit as she believed they may cause trouble without a codekeeper to keep them in line.

Wildbillow, Twigkit, and Icekit

From a very young age, Wildbillow knew that his passion was caring for the kits and elders while ensuring the camp was tidy, and his biggest aspiration was to become a father. He was a very patient cat and wanted to wait until he had a mate to genuinely love and help him to care for his kits, and he eventually fell for Rootflower, a molly with the same goal to become a mother, and since they found themselves happier in each other's company, they became mates and finally conceived a litter of one. Unfortunately, Rootflower did not survive the process of bringing her son into the world, but this only strengthened Wildbillow's need and desire to care for his son, who was granted the name Twigkit in his mother's honor. Only a few months later would Icekit be born into the nursery as well, but tragedy struck when the younger kit's entire family was lost in a flood. This was the month before EveningClan's creation was announced, and as a result of the incidents, Wildbillow requested that he and Twigkit join, along with Icekit because of how close the two kits were.
