the establishment of Fomor (he had that specific glyph in grease stains lmfao) as obvious is brilliant, canonical, and something that’s going to bite everyone in the ass later when someone they trust gets/is possessed. a very real threat! they’re all in pretty ideal condition for it!

anyway, i loved the door narration so much. it was less than ten minutes overall but it still provides SO much characterization that we really needed. he out here cavorting with … gasp… non-american women…. and his talks with boy were rough.

that felt short after 5.2 lmfao tho we got Spoiled

i also have jewelbug, a barbarossa pilot and ex-HA explosives technician sabotaged and kicked out; and his sister batz, a Lancaster pilot dying of a wasting disease (mitochondrial issue) and spending her last few years fighting alongside her girlfriend katz (belongs to an irl friend, raleigh pilot)

now im thinkin about occam and marck. the red snappers done this like. a billion times with his ever-rotating menagerie of stepparents and d’s second shot *definitely* will be gone after he gets back; but I sincerely doubt any of them have gone to lengths like this. my first guess was that marck was interested in occam’s sorcery (this was also him and his bf/fiancé’s boss) so he tried to make a connection (d probably felt conflicted over this one) that had to be cut short; but I feel like this is absolutely more occam’s lingering love for d. still this is a good chance for them to get at least a little close

random weird pet peeve but i feel like people overfocus on the oculus in marcky art and forget the Entity. im an og i know what marckus’ true gimmick is, and its not a random hunter artifact introduced later in the series that he shares with other characters. thats borrowed power- stolen, from a place that rejected him. he doesn’t need the weakass hunter shit when he in of himself is a wellspring much greater than something that freaked out upon seeing him

“the one that got away” has caused me an UNBELIEVABLE amount of brainworms (wyrms?). the romantic twist to it. we don’t even know what it wants with him but a lot of the possible results can feasibly be read as romantic- devouring his soul? possession? caul? all resemble unity. marriage is a form of unity. marriage is also a ritual, in a sense. his soul is already promised (engagement). making a soup with this and “d’s constant marriage-divorce cycle has screwed up his children’s idea of love” and devouring it (it kills me instantly)
