Thinking about Rondael’s reason for not rejoining Ajax and Emmie

Because a part of him wants to, a part of him wants it to go back to normal with him on their team and them all just having fun and messing around, but he knows that he can’t

He knows that he can’t be on a team anymore, and he wants them to win, he believes that they can win

And he can’t be the one to hold them back

He can’t be the reason people target them

He’s public enemy #1 right now and if he’s on their team then that makes them enemy #1 too by association and he cant do that to them

He cares too much about them to do that to them

Even if it’s really hard for him to ever admit that

I mentioned this earlier is sherbs discord but I think what makes Ajax having been stuck in the lightning void for 7ish months now so much worse is that right before he got stuck in the void he was ripped away from Emmie and Ronnie

Right before he got stuck in the void he had woken up in build fright when in his mind he was meant to still be in an EOD season (cause he had slept through the seasons end) and he didn’t have them

He had lost his people, he had gotten attached and he had lost one of them and gotten them back and now he’s lost them again

He doesn’t even know where his people are, he can assume they’re in eod but he doesn’t know that and he doesn’t know how to get to them and he’s just stuck waiting and hoping that he’ll get them back

Ronndael’s little “you guys do know I didn’t do it on purpose” when talking about them not being on their team

And Ajax’s sad “yeah… at least now I know that” in response because they spent so long being so mad at him for leaving

They spent so long wanting him dead because he left them and he didn’t care

But now here he is in the spawn house with them joking around and showing off all the new magical things they’ve all discovered and he does care

He might now have shown it before, but he does care, and they can tell that he cares

Thinking about Ronnie’s concern when he saw how low Emmie’s health is

His quite little “you have so little health” before asking her to put on her armor to see how many hearts she has with it

His face when Ajax says that that’s just where they are health wise and him saying that he doesn’t like either of them having that little health

His face as he quietly just stares for a minute after realizing that his health without armor is their max health

Thinking about Ajax being a vampire hunter and knowingly living with vampires, and letting those vampires drink his blood whenever they wanted

How they would have had to hide that from the other vampire hunters, the people training them and allowing them to level up/advance

How if the rest of the hunters had found out he would have been labeled a traitor and probably hunted as if they were one (a vampire), but he did it anyway

He didn’t care what the rest of the hunters thought of them or the morals and allies they were meant to have as a hunter because they care their people, his vampires, even if he wouldn’t admit it at that time
