As if Lucius was the type to be nervous about ringing a fucking doorbell. It didn't suit him to be uncertain, or to shy away from the forthcoming. His name had carried him through many doors, and had garnered him a certain type of treatment whether it be by fear or respect (depending on your view of the world). Some of his peers had behaved as though where simply that - a peer. If he's being honest, most of the time he doesn't mind. Even welcomes it. Unless of course, a muggle born or the child of a blood traitor was rapping with him as though they were his equal. Wrong. But now, in this particular situation, he found himself rather troubled. Nervous. About to ring the doorbell of a home he'd been to countless times before, but with a different purpose. Emma has mentioned in a letter that she needed to speak with him- and he's grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to see her outside of the various social events that the two of them had undoubtedly been obliged to attend over the break. Lucius really only stood outside of the door contemplating ringing the doorbell for a minute or two. Or three. Maybe five. He decides to knock.

Everyone was waiting for some sort of action from TRP, but it didn’t seem like it was going to come. The power had been out for a few hours and so far there had been no signs of The Rising Power. People were beginning to feel at ease after texting their loved ones and finding out that they too were safe in their respective safehouses. 

The town seemed to be in for a dark but quiet night. And then, it came. Fast and sudden. Not just for members, but the whole damn town. The message appeared on every phone and the speakers around town that served to notify people of emergencies or special announcements. It blared, loud and clear, with a voice no one in the town recognized…

He didn’t remember how stressing it was to fight shadows -- in this case, wraiths. He couldn’t locate his friends but he still could work by himself, but it was tough to not being able to rely on Yu, to her Rise cheer them all on, to not being able to fight along Yosuke or Naoto & his friends. It was difficult, but not impossible. They taught him to be strong --- to believe in himself. And he would, more than ever.

However, he had found a valuable ally in the city as well. The man seemed to handle himself well with the wraiths, but Kanji was there to help --- joining the man with his tarot card on hand --- he spoke;

“Hey, need a lil’ help there?”

damian scrunches up his nose in bafflement. he had not expected a superhero party to be more dreadful than an average boring gala in gotham. dressed in his least favorite suit, he glances around the crowded room they are in and lets out a frustrated sigh. why had he agreed to waste his time like this? he puts down his glass of water and gives his favorite family member an expectant look. “are you going on a patrol after this?" damian asks, arching an eyebrow. he had no reason to believe that his brother followed the curfew. “if you are, i am going to join you.”
