Laura was starting to deeply regret coming here, Murphy’s law was at play and everything had pretty much been going wrong but she had learned, from a very early age, to roll with the punches and so she just shrugged her shoulders and kept going, pretty much without so much of batting an eye, at least not externally, she didn’t know most of these people very well yet and she did not trust easily, but then they were trapped and then they said the food wasn’t going to last and Laura scoffed loudly.
She turned around and walked towards her tent to pick up some equipment and then looked up, she couldn’t be able to use any method of orientation she’d use on Earth but she was sure she could probably guide herself by her nose, she turned her face towards the sky and inhaled deeply to try and commit the scents to memory but frowned... there was something wrong.... she inhaled once more only to freeze in place, every muscle locked in place, her eyesight, her hearing and her sense of smell were... different; dimmed, muted.
“Fuck.” She said pinching the bridge of her nose and sighing. “I didn’t think this was going to be fucking easy but I thought ‘hey, worse think can happen is I get to stab a bunch of aliens, chances are I’ll survive just as well in space but I’m realizing we are facing something far far worse... Can just something go right in this fucking trip for once?” she rambled not acostumed to human’s hearing and not noticing Bucky’s approach. @thewintersoldicr
