Welcome to Vancouver’s Second Annual Supernatural Pride Festival! For centuries the supernatural community has hidden in the shadows, and the world had known no different. Now that the supernaturals are no longer forced into hiding, this month is marked as a month of pride for the community, the species, and their way of life.
Because of the tragedies that occurred during last year’s Pride, the supernatural community and studio have chosen to take precautions for this years festivities. The Pride Parade will be open to the public as per usual. But, all of the events taking place in the week leading up to the parade, will be private for the supernatural community and their supporters. BTM Studios will be partaking, hosting a handful of different events at a secure campsite before the cast and crew can ride in floats decked out for each of their shows all the way into the center of the city. Join us in celebrating each and every supernatural.
[OOC Note: The event will span from Friday, August 3rd till Sunday, August 18th. Periodically throughout the week, there will be plot drops, so be sure to expect the unexpected. Feel free to keep other threads going, it is completely up to you whether you want to drop them or not. Below you’ll find the information on Supernatural Pride Festival events for the weekend. Each event has a time associated to them which marks the IC time the event is occurring, but feel free to make starters about them in any order you’d like. There will also be plot drops happening periodically throughout the next two weeks, so keep on the lookout for those-
The Opening Ceremony/Campgrounds: The keynote speech kicks off the supernatural pride event. This is one of the single most important moments of the Festival. Gigi King has has taken the title yet again. So come gather around the bonfire to remember why pride is so important to celebrate.
The Bonfire: The Bonfire marks the center of the campgrounds and is where you can come make some s’mores and share stories on how you learned about the supernatural. Feel free to toss an item from your past or a handwritten secret you’ve wanted to get off your chest into the flames in the spirit of new beginnings.
Chubby Bunny S’mores Competition: When it comes to S’mores, you won’t want to miss out participating in the Chubby Bunny Competition. The individual to shove the most marshmallows in their mouth wins having a private chef all to themselves for an evening of their choice (OOC: If you would like you character to be in the running to win this prize, please tag your Chubby Bunny Competition threads with #chubbybunnnybtm in addition to the event tag and we will choose a participate at random to crown the winner)
All You Can Eat Buffet: Any food or beverage you could possible crave from Bellinis to your daily blood intact are laid out and served in the buffet tent.
The Tents & Outdoor Cinema: Large white tents scatter the grounds for the ultimate glamping experience each one tailor to your own specific preferences. So, snuggle up in your home away from home or outside on the cozy cushions and blankets laid out in front of an outdoor cinema playing films featuring famous supernaturals. You might even see a familiar face or two.
Glitter Booth: It wouldn’t be Pride without a lot of sparkle. So stop by the glitter booth and get yourself decked out from head to toe in the herpies of the crafts supplies or an intricate face painted design. The individual with the best design on themselves will get an all expense paid spa trip for two. (OOC: If you would like you character to be in the running to win this prize, please tag your Glitter threads or photos with #glitterbombbtm in addition to the event tag and we will choose a participate at random to crown the winner).

Manhunt: You might think you know how to play the game Manhunt, but when it comes to Supernatural Pride things are done a little differently. The rules of the game are simple- all participants are split into two teams. The hiders or “fugitives” must try their best to make it till dawn without being caught with the tents being safe zones. While the Seekers or “hunters” chase after them trying to tag them. Once a hider is tagged, they will become a seeker and the game will go on until dawn or until the seekers win. The one catch is all powers/abilities are fair game. So play at your own risk.

The Charity Auction: Whether you are single or accounted for, everyone is encouraged to participate in the Pride Charity Auction as either a Contestant or Bidder. So come auction off a fun friendly evening with yourself as a way to promote inclusion between species and give towards creating Supernatural friendly homeless shelters and facilities. The Silent Disco: Whoever said disco was dead obviously wasn’t at this party. Join us for a different kind of party scene. The beat still goes on, but only through the headphones you’re wearing. To the world without headphones all is tranquil, but for anyone wearing them, the beat just keeps on dropping.

The Pride Parade: Every supernatural and ally will take to the floats as the parade heads into the center of the city for the open to the public day of celebration. There will be performers in the streets, floats, and even food stands for refreshments after the parade. Ariana Grande will perform during the parade as well as Lee Ji Eun with each float representing each supernatural as well as a few floats for each of the BTM Studios shows as well. to celebrate Connor Kent’s birthday! Damien Kent is inviting everyone studio-wide to a surprise BBQ Pool Party to celebrate his brother’s birthday.

DESCRIPTION: Join the Kents at Connor Kent’s home for a surprise birthday celebration and an evening of fun. This is a family friendly event as there will be games for the kids, adult supervision over babies at all times. There will food for all dietary needs, as well as a pool, a water slide, a touch football game going, a sack race, a game of cornhole, and Twister. Of course it’s not a party without music! So bring your bathing suits, your summer clothes, and celebrate with us Kent style.

As the Carnival came to an end, surprisingly there was no big or dangerous incident that transpired. The carnival goers didn’t meet their deaths in any of the booths that were available. Everything had gone eerily perfect for the night. The hosts of the event, The Allegiance of the Mystical and Undead wanted to provide a safe place for supernaturals to feel comfortable and free to be themselves. It flowed perfectly into the closing words from one of the members, inviting them all to think about the concept of a Supernatural Homeland where everything could be just like this.
Flyers were passed out, imploring the idea that there could be a place for supernaturals to just be themselves without the worry of the types of limiting laws that had been placed on them as well as the lack of citizenship they all now had. The information spoke of a world that could have these types of carnivals and even supernatural amusement parks where they could be free to let their “freak flags fly”, where the mundane would be abnormal just as they had here. The Alliance held the standpoint that maybe, just maybe conformity and assimilation into the human world was the wrong way to go about it, and instead having a place that was uniquely inclusive to supernaturals was the way to go about it.
The flyer nor the speaker made a call to action, but rather just a nudge to think about these ideals and possibilities as well as to simply think about joining their cause as days like today would be a norm in a supernatural homeland.

There’s not just roller coasters and cotton candy at Spring Fest ‘19. Welcome to this magic filled festival of freaks that might just reveal secrets you never even knew about yourself!
The following games and activities you can have your characters participate in are detailed below. This event is character-development driven, so feel free to make starters, self-paras, private threads and posts about them in any order you’d like. Just be sure that any event threads are tagged eventbtm11 and that you send the links to any starters you make into the main so that we can add them to the starter call post:
Activities:
This festival is filled with all standard carnival/fair activities. There are a bunch of food stands where you can eat your fill of funnel cakes, corn dogs, BBQ etc. There are the rides we all know and love like a ferris wheel, dizzy dragons, swings, bumper cars, and scramblers. You can even get your face painted. But, there are also some special magic filled activities that are specific to this festival in particular being-
Fun House: It might appear like your standard fun house, filled with slides and kooky rooms, but instead of the typical curved mirrors, if you choose to look into these fun house mirrors, you will be shown how the world sees you in one mirror and how you see yourself in the other.
Strength Tester: Take a turn at picking up the hammer and seeing how strong you are. Only this Strength Tester doesn’t measure your physical strength, but your strength of will. How likely are you to overcome hardships and could the strongest among you be the ones you least expect?
Wheel of Truths and Fortune: This wheel of fortune is certainly more dangerous than most and it just so happens to require a partner. One will step up and be strapped into the wheel. Round and round, they shall go. Where it stops, no one knows. But when it does, the ticker will land on a question that the person strapped down will have to answer while their partner throws an enchanted blade in their direction. Tell the truth and the blade will miss. But, the more you lie or refuse to answer, the closer each blade will get to hitting the bullseye. How fortunate you are depends on whether you make it out unscathed.
Photo Booth: What better way to capture a memory than with a picture? But, this particular photo booth captures memories that haven’t quite happened yet. When the camera snaps, one will experience a vision of what they desire most. If someone is in the booth with them, the booth will reveal each person’s visions after the other. The photos they in turn receive will be of the versions of themselves they most desire to be.
Dunk Tank: If you reveal a secret before you take a turn at the dunk tank, the person falling in, will splash into a calm pool of water. But, if chose to keep your secret to yourself, the person you send splashing, will find themselves in a raging riptide and have to struggle to get themselves out.
Tunnel of Love: This Tunnel of Love isn’t just a fun boat ride, but the ride itself will tell you how compatible you are with whomever you enter inside with. Whether it be friends, lovers, or soulmates, the brighter the lights get guiding you out, the more compatible you are.
Doors of Destiny: Step right up and choose the door that speaks to you. Walk through one door and enter into one of your own nightmares. Walk through the other and enter one of your most embarrassingly happy dreams. The challenge being if you and you partner can last the full 60 minutes or will you chicken out?
Fright Maze: This might seem like a regular hedge maze, but take heed, for once you enter this illusion filled labyrinth, the exit will only be revealed to you after you confront your greatest fear head on.
Magic Carpet Ride: If you decided to take a spin on this ride, the magic carpet will show you and whoever you’re with where you want to go most in the world.
Bobbing for Apples: Bobbing for apples are usually fairly self explanatory, but these apples just so happen to be straight out a fairytale. There are eight different kinds to choose from (Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, Dopey, Doc, and Snow White) and the second you take a bite, you will be overcome with the emotion that they’re named after. Ex. If you pick Sneezy, you won’t be able to stop sneezing. If you pick Doc, you will be overcome with confidence and courage. If you pick Snow White, however, you will drop to the ground and appear lifeless for up to 4 hours or until someone you love (platonically or romantically) bestows you with a kiss.
Crystal Ball: If you look into this crystal ball, you won’t just have your fortune read, you will be able to to have conversation through the glass with an image of your future or past self. Note- for skin walkers, instead of having a conversation with a version of them from the past, they will actual be able to converse with their other personas.
Mundane Show: A freak show in reverse. Come take a look at the scariest creatures imaginable- simple every day humans! From couch potatoes to Jim from Accounting, witness the mundane at their most disturbingly boring.
Sand Art with a Twist: With each sand art creation you make, you will be prompted to complete a dare. If you chose to accept it, you have until all the sand in your hourglass creation reaches the other side to complete your challenge. If you chicken out or don’t make it in time, you will become magically trapped inside your own sand art piece, until someone else preforms the dare that you were unable to do.
Ring Toss: Try your luck at tossing a ring onto a bottle, only these bottles are levitating and prefer not to stick around in one place for too long.
BabbleFish: Like the ring toss, the goal is to get the ball in the empty fishbowl so you can take home a goldfish or Nemo of your own. Only with this game, your prize can speak and these multilingual babble fish will be sure to be smack talking you throughout your whole turn.
Cotton Candy Booth: Who doesn’t love a good sugary treat at a fair? Take a bite out of this cotton candy, however, and your mouth will instantly be filled with the taste of your favorite meal/desert.
Everything seemed to be quiet at BTM Studios for once. Between audition season and summer production starting up, the warehouse tragedy was all, but forgotten and everyone seemed to be ready to cut back and let loose. That was when the Carnival rolled into town...
A new political organization, the Allegiance of the Mystical and Undead, has offered to host a festival in camaraderie of the BTM supernaturals. After the Valentine’s Day Rave, the world pointed fingers at these famous few, wrongly accusing them for the death of Vincent Riley and other humans like him. They view Supernaturals as monsters. But, the AMU says no more. Instead of trying to blend in, AMU wants to embrace how much supernaturals stand out.
Come one, come all, to this magical festival of freaks where you can partake in an abundance of fun activities with private security guards stationed at every entrance guaranteeing that all the guests will be safe.

Since escaping the warehouse, Eliza seemed to just meander when she walked though town. It’d been a long time since she’d had her heartbroken like this, most of her life, Eliza never opened up to people. Not in the sense of giving your heart to someone. She’d been betrayed so many times, she became hardened to the idea of love. With Vinny, she’d felt flutters when he’d be around, and unable to keep herself from smiling.
Things happened so quickly at the rave, parts of her mind were still trying to piece everything together. The bracelet that she’d been given remained in the pocket of her jacket, only worn when she’s home and can miss him with no judgement.
Today, Eliza quietly makes her way towards the coffee shop, downtown. Mostly searching for some peace with a cup of tea, her latest read. Soon enough, she settles in on a couch near the window, at least if she gets bored with her book, she can people watch.
