Kyoko awoke in her straw bed. The embers in the rooms hearth were still warm but in need of attention. Getting our of bed, she stirred the embers and added a small log to keep the room warm. She quickly changed into her healer robes and picked up her trusty staff propped up in the corner of the room.(She woke up and poked at the heating unit it the room and placed a notebook on it. She dressed in her LoveMe uniform and picked up a broom she had left in the corner the night before.)
She exited her room and entered the foyer of the keep her friend Kanbaru-san and her shared. It appeared that the maid that normally kept the keep clean had the day off. The rushes on the floor were dirty and in need of changing. It was then that she noticed that she wasn’t alone. About the room there were a gang of intruders. Their keep had been invaded by monsters.(She entered the living room and Kanbaru-san’s clothes were strewn about the room. A gang of lamps and vases surrounded her.)
“Kanbaru-san!” she called out. “We’re under attack!”
