Danny closed his book and allowed himself to return to his job, just as a hand clapped on the back of his chair, sending him toppling into someone’s arm, which had shot out to catch him. Danny flailed, his book going across the room only slightly before attempting to get back up to… kindly, escort this asshole out of the store before a familiar voice stopped him.

“You looked bored, I decided to fix that,” Arin. It was always Arin. Not that Dan minded.

“And your fix was sending me hurling towards the floor?” Dan asked, laughing a bit before standing. Arin laughed back, brushing off Danny’s back.

“To be fair, I wasn’t TRYING to do that.” Dan stood the chair back up, plopping back down and glancing over at the book, laying open, pages crushed, across the shop.
