Vartan and I have been mercilessly bullying talking about Ever a lot lately and it got me thinking about his host body pre-insectification. I've always imagined he was probably just a random tourist mucking around in the wrong part of Hong Kong. Jing picked him because there wouldn't be anyone to notice his disappearance right away, and when people back home did start to worry it'd be way too hard to launch any sort of serious investigation. I feel like he was already kind of an asshole but he probably didn't deserve being hollowed out so a big nasty bug could hide inside him and bleach his hair all to shit :/

I always felt like Jonny probably tolerates Ever because he's Roach's friend with benefits, but under any other circumstances they'd never actually hang out because Ever radiates "absolutely thrived in high school" energy. Ever finds this deeply insulting to his ego.
