Just said goodnight to Rose at her door. It feels very very strange to watch that door close and know that we’re not going to climb into the same bed tonight. I’m going for a walk on the beach. Clear my head for bed.
May 18
This isn’t so bad. There’s something kind of romantic about kissing her at her door and letting her go, knowing that it’s only temporary.
Can’t sleep. This is ridiculous. It’s… well technically it’s May 19 now. Maybe I should put this in tomorrow’s stupid entry for this stupid exercise in stupidity. What does this prove anyway. That we can be not together? I thought the point of a claim was proving that we could be together. Stupid.
May 19
Hope tonight is better. Skyping with Dahlia tonight. She always helps me figure things out.
I think I get it now. If I can’t be apart from Rose and still maintain the same feelings of contentment and ease than really the claim isn’t healthy… isn’t based on something real. You know you guys should hire my sister. She understands things or maybe she just understands me.
May 20
I’m feeling more at ease tonight. This is ok. This is truly ok.
May 21
Going out with a friend tonight. I hope that Rose is also taking time with her friends. I know that with Baby gone it has been so hard for her. I can understand now why it’s important for a couple not to be so dependent and focused on just each other. She needs to have friends who love and support and with whom she has deep ties. We both need that.
May 22
I do miss waking up to her in my arms.
May 23
Just one more day. I don’t want to count my damn chickens, but I think you guys are going to approve this claim. You’re going to give us the green light and then I’m going to marry that girl and make a life with her. And I know it won’t be perfect and I know it won’t always be like it is here where we can insulate ourselves together. And that’s ok, that’s good, because that’s life and the life I want is with her – the good, the sad, the rough, the ecstatic, and yeah, even the boring day to day – I want it with Rose Morgan.
The Rules and Consequences for the mutual claim between Rose Morgan and Everlasting Thompson.
Rose and Ever will be completely and openly honest with each other about all things. The consequence for lying will be a conversation as to why the individual felt it necessary to lie. If the lying continues there will be mandatory couples counseling and if it continues further a breaking of the claim will occur.
Rose and Ever will support each other emotionally, financially, and physically. If they find that they can no longer do this, the consequence will be a discussion as to whether they should continue the claim.
Rose Morgan will accept Everlasting Thompson as her friend, lover, and Dominant. If she finds that she can no longer accept any of these roles for Everlasting she must tell him immediately.
Everlasting Thompson will accept Rose Morgan as her friend, lover, and Submissive. If he finds that he can no longer accept any of the roles for Rose he must tell her immediately.
Rose and Ever must discuss any and all life-changing situations with each other before discussing them with others. The consequence for discussing these situations with others first will be a discussion about trust and honesty, possible with a professional if it is deemed the problem has deep roots.
Rose Morgan will explore her sexual desires openly and freely. The consequence for breaking this rule will be mandatory visits to a psychologist or therapist specializing in sexuality and designation dynamics.
Everlasting Thompson will trust Rose’s sexual exploration and not second guess what she desires. The consequence for breaking this rule will be mandatory visits to a psychologist or therapist specializing in sexuality and designation dynamics.
Rose Morgan must accept that she will become on completion of the claim a member of Everlasting Thompson’s family. As such the needs of his family are now hers.

Rose and Ever must take care of their health and well-being. The consequence for one or the other not seeing to their health and well-being will be a discussion of the importance of trust in a claim as well as monitored doctors visits for up to six months depending on the severity of the health concerns.
Rose Morgan’s Promises to Everlasting Thompson
I promise to always be honest and open with you and never hold back from telling you how I truly feel. You’ve shown me the importance of expressing my emotions instead of bottling them up and I’ve become a healthier and happier person because of that and you.
I promise to never feel ashamed or embarrassed when discussing my sexual interest with you. You have taught me that it’s perfectly normal to be curious about different things and you’ve never judge me about my interests. I’ve grown more confident in my own skin and that is thanks to you.
I promise to never talk badly about my body. Being comfortable with my scars has been a long journey for me. You’ve been holding my hand and staying close to my side through that Journey, building my confidence and acceptance with my body. I feel beautiful now and that’s a feeling I never knew before you.
I promise to always find ways to show you how much I love you. Whether it be words or actions, you will always know that you are loved. I never want you to doubt my love or loyalty to you. This isn’t my way of trying to prove myself. I find myself every day wanting to show how much you mean to me and I see myself still wanting to do that when we’re old and gray.
I promise to love you with all my heart, treat you as my equal and support you through thick and thin. There is a beautiful balance to our relationship that I would never in a million years change. There is no struggle for control or power. There is nothing but love and respect. My devotion to you is endless. I’ll love you until I take my last breath.
Everlasting Thompson’s Promises to Rose Morgan
I promise to keep you safe. The world is a dangerous place, full of those who wreck and break without thought or care. Never again will one of those broken people cause you harm in any way. I promise to keep our family safe always.
I promise to trust you in all things. I will never doubt or minimize the things you confide in me.
I promise to a partner in all decisions we encounter in our lives. We will be a team as we go through this life. I know that I am stronger with you than I could ever be I on my own.
I promise to never forget that you are a smart, strong, sexy woman. I promise that I will never let the day to day, the year to year erode the passion I feel for you right now.
I promise to support your dreams whatever they are and however they change. Those dreams are as dear to my heart as my own.

Summary: Describe your ideal house
It’s a bit too soon to be dreaming about homes, but that doesn’t stop Ever from doing so. Hell, he’s even started looking. He contacted his agent and told her to start looking at properties near London. When she asks what he’s looking for, he smiles brightly. “Warm, room for kids to play and make messes. Near the ocean, but also near London. Not just a house Suzie, a home.” And that is the thing. He grew up in a house. It was home only because his sister was there, but so much of it was not meant for them. 18,000 square feet of luxury Park Avenue home that was damn near untouchable for the twins. They’d found nooks and crannies to call their own, but that isn’t what he wants for his own children. He wants a home that does more than shelter them from the weather. He wants it to be a place that nourishes their souls. He wants holiday dinners with family. He wants room for his family and her family and everyone to come together for all the occasions big and small. He wants a pool and playrooms that are filled with laugher and light. He wants space for Rose and him to retreat and have private, passionate, nurturing moments. He wants cats and dogs and bunnies and whatever other creature his children bring home running around their feet. He wants music and dancing. He wants a forever home who’s very walls will soak up their love and happiness. “Ever?” He realizes that he has been daydreaming. “Uh.. uh yeah?” There is a chuckle from the other end of the line. “I said I’ll get right on that.” She exchanges some facts and is about to hang up the phone before she adds. “Oh, and congratulations. I’m glad you found someone.” “Me too.” He wants to tell her that he hasn’t found any someone. He’s found his only one, but maybe that’s obvious.

Summary: Ever will never be comfortable in the spotlight, but that’s alright, he’s happy to watch from the sidelines
Ever had the best of intentions. It was a party, he’d had a couple of glasses of remarkably good whiskey, and there were points to be had. He needed points. He wanted to be able to move on with Rose and start their life. Living in a rehab center after you found you forever was a bit like trying to get somewhere on a stationary bike. Now, it wasn’t torture, far from it. Orenda was a gorgeous island and they were provided with every comfort and he would be happy stuck in the middle of Death Valley if it was with Rose. However, he was ready to get the hell out of there and to do that he needed points.
That was why he’d planned to get up and sing karaoke. Daisy had made sure both he and Dahlia had been given singing and piano lessons starting from when they were very young, so he knew how to sing. Of course the problem was that as soon as he looked at the stage his stomach sank into his shoes and his face went as white as a sheet. He would have actually puked just thinking about it, but Rose had just touched his cheek and smiled. She stood up and with a beaming smile ran up on stage. He listened to her sing with his heart now in his throat because she was just so damn beautiful, so breathtakingly perfect and she had chosen him. It humbled him so much. No, he’d never be the guy on that stage, but he would be forever happy to be reflected in her light watching her there.
Summary: Hiding your prized possession is hard to do in a small suite… especially when you’re living with the person you’re hiding it from.
There just aren’t a lot of places that you can hide something in a small space when you share that small space with the person that you are hiding the something from. It had been two weeks and Ever has been doing an admirable job so far. However, that morning when he came home after a long run and found Rose, kindly cleaning out his sock drawer he’d nearly run over and tackled her away from it. He’d managed to play it cool, distracting her by pulling her in to have a shower with him. Sex was much more fun than cleaning out sock drawers anyway.
Later after they had moved the activities from the shower to the bed and finally after a particularly ambitious move the floor and subsequently needed another shower, Rose had left to do something mysterious and musketeerish with Baby, giving him the opportunity he needed. He looked left then right, like some kind of Bond villain and then slowly opened the drawer. In the way back stuffed into a particularly janky balled up sock was his most prized possession. Perhaps that is not the correct way to think of it. He has a few prized possessions - ring that matched one worn by his sister that has their twinspeak names engraved inside, a teeny, tiny hat that he’d bought in the hospital gift shop that had still been way too big for his little angel Hope, and the necklace that Rose had given him for Christmas. But this… actually these since there were two items in the sock. He looked around again and hid the items from view as he unwrapped them.
Chucking the sock away in the hamper he was left with the symbols of what he prized most in his hand. In one he held a beautiful delicate claiming collar custom made by the most talented jewelry designer in New York. The other was a ring sent to him by Rose’s Mother. A ring… the ring he would propose marriage with. The moment when he would be able to stop hiding them from Rose was coming fast, but for the time being…. Their new home ended up being the highest shelf in the kitchenette that was over Rose’s head and only contained a boxed bottle of 25 year-old scotch. His Bijou didn’t seem to like scotch very much and the box even had dust on it. The items were carefully wrapped back up, this time with a handkerchief and hidden in the box with the bottle. Back on the shelf it all went waiting for the day they would no longer be hidden

Summary: Money can buy you everything, right?
When Everlasting was five years old he wanted a dog. The family next door had a giant great dane that the children took walking. He also wanted a saddle that he could put on the dog so that he could ride it around the park across the street.
Daisy said dogs were messy. He stomps his foot and cries. Nanny Eloise says that riding dogs would hurt them. He says sorry and hugs her. He never gets a dog.
When Everlasting was eight he wants a motorized scooter. He saw one on the way to school. The boy riding it had been going faster than the limo which was stuck in mid-town traffic. He looks cooler than cool. Ever wants to be cool.
Linden tells him such things are ridiculous and only the possessions of lower class people. Dahlia hugs him tight and whispers in his ear that she would be too scared he’d get hurt on a scooter like that. He smiles and never asks for one again. He never gets a motorized scooter.
When Everlasting is ten he wants a little brother or sister. He begs and cries and even throws a temper tantrum. His friend Paulo told him that twins don’t count and so Ever isn’t a real brother.
Daisy and Linden don’t even listen to him. Daisy is planning her annual Black and White Ball and Linden is finishing a big deal. Mister Hawthorne the butler takes him firmly by the hand and shows him Dahlia sitting in the big picture window sniffling and wiping at tears. He runs to her and hugs her tight. Dahlia is the only sister or brother he ever needs. He never gets another sibling.
There are many things that Everlasting gets. His parents are wealthy beyond description. So just about every toy and gadget that he asks for he gets. There are things he doesn’t get too, but none of those things matter. They are just things and whims of the moment. What Ever gets is so much more important. He gets Dahlia, Nanny Eloise, and Mister Hawthorne. He gets people who guide him and teach him and help him to grow.
