Solanus: Aftermath

So, just touching back on the groups mentioned thusfar.

·         Sinvyn and Bianca joined up with Sibella and the rest of the clan formerly known as Dovesong, and moved to the Gladewilds after a considerably long ambling journey. Bianca has recently been trying to reconnect with her blood family, and to this day is still struggling with just how she feels about Father Tobrun and his death.

·         Tobrun, as I just mentioned, is hella fucking dead. He got blown up with the rest of the denizens of the ruins.

·         This includes Clay and Nettie.

·         Wilhelmina and the brothers hid within the ghost town for a short while, until Mae and Telyn regained consciousness. When the two shadetouched dragons did wake, they both mentioned that a certain “heaviness” in their minds seemed to be gone – presumably the link Tobrun had had to them via shade.

·         The group traveled together until Clay and Nettie’s eggs hatched into a clutch of three girls, and then agreed Wilhelmina would take two of them to find homes for as she headed back with Telyn to meet near in Ever-Autumn. Mae kept the remaining hatchling, sensing she was shadetouched and would likely be killed if brought to any new settlement.

·         Wilhelmina and Telyn make it safely back home, but it will be a long time before Telyn fully recovers mentally or physically.

·         The brothers, Mae, and the baby girl (Yttria) search for a safe place to live. They eventually need to settle for a particularly shitty town in one of the Northernmost portion of the Sunbeam Ruins, where there is basically no regulation – and thus no shade detection. Mae apologizes that they need to hide in such a way. She says she feels incredibly guilty that three princes needed to live in such squalor because of her, and that Tobrun had only deemed her a queen because she was so obedient and survived so long.

·         Vasig and Mareth decide this is the perfect time to admit none of them have any royal lineage. Vadim is shocked and mortified, but after the initial surprise wears off Mae admits she’s relieved in a lot of ways, and hopes they can one day live a normal life together. Mareth and Vasig are fairly surprised by Vadim and Mae’s choice to stay together, but accept it, and later set off in search of a paladin that could help with Mae and Yttria’s shade infection.

·         Far, far off, the few Wayfarer’s that still remain notice Tobrun’s connection severing as well, in various degrees. They, however, don’t know exactly what happened or why. Lutorias is cautious, but begins searching for any news of the death of a priest. Some members begin to celebrate.

The patrol had been out in full force.

Wilhelmina and Heron never caught a glance of anything amiss, nor heard any whispers of other dragons moving through the trees.

Instead, they stumbled upon Sam lying in a puddle of tarry vomit mere meters from the entrance to town. She refused their attempts to help, instead pointing urgently at the shack Wil and the two fae called home, still gasping for breath.

Wil realized with horror that the door had been forced open.

Ever Autumn 5 and 20

5. Does your clan produce any sort of item coveted by other clans? Specialty items, services, food/drink?

Yes, Ever-Autumn, due to Amberspire's intervention, is now particularly known for its blends of cider that now ship Sorniethwide. The apples grown within the woodland are of many cultivars, including rare heritage breeds and some just not found anywhere else. They provide unique flavours that have made the brews quite coveted. Amberspire took control of distribution and charges heavy tariffs, ensuring the exports are extremely profitable.

20. Are there Beast Clans near your clan? How does your clan interact with the Beast Clans?

Beastclan beings are considered as equal to dragons, and there is a decent percentage of beastfolk to be found in the forest as a result, as fellow citizens, workers, and friends. There are also rumors of romantic couples, but the Ever-Autumn locals aren't known to be the prying sort.

For the world building asks, how about number 5?

5. Does your clan produce any sort of item coveted by other clans? Specialty items, services, food/drink? 

The clan most notable for this is by far Ever-Autumn, ever since Amberspire took partial control of said clan and began to manage exports. Ever-Autumn Cider is shipped Sornieth-wide and known for its crispness and unusual depth of flavor.

Aside from that, Ao, a courier employed by the aforementioned crystalline castle, is known as one of the most reliable postal workers/smugglers around. His services are coveted due to his perfect memory and meticulous following of orders.

wbw!!! how to you treat money in your lore? are dragons in your clan(s) generally paid for their work or is it done in exchange for housing/protection/food/etc?

It depends!

In Amberspire everyone within the clan is paid for their work in shelter/daily meals/healthcare. However, some contractual employees (mainly warriors) receive a salary on top of that.

In Ever-Autumn, dragons are paid for their services, and in turn are expected to pay for services within Amberspire (though at a discount, due to their close working relationship.)

Dovesong is a very poor clan, living primarily via scavenging and the occasional jobs that can come their way. Actually, Arin finances the survival of the dragons there for the mostpart via sending her winnings to her father, who lives there.

Shoreline Castle doesn’t really have any circulation of money at this time.
