me posting consistently? 😧 unheard of. this one isn't a commission but over on my #everafterhigh amino, we recently had our #springunsprung event, which featured a scavenger hunt and a bake off for the roleplayer of the community! it's a festival to celebrate spring and flowers and the return of warm weather for this occasion, i chose to go with emo bastard child Dion (last name pending cuz i can't decide), child of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, rageful madness, and patron of the arts. all the other spring unsprung characters seemed to just have roses, so i decided to add a bit of a more personal touch to my take with Dion. i wanted the flowers to symbolize Dion's personality and backstory (and curse, mwahaha). for her headrest, i chose petunias since they symbolize a soothing presence, which may be a juxtaposition to Dion's intimidating appearance with his tattoos and piercings. i also chose lilies of the valley for the accents on their shoulders to signify their trustworthiness when it comes to trying to break their sibling's curse of madness (a subplot that my adorable friend @dearsleepingflower has for their Dionysus #oc, Dion's sibling, Ione). i also have lilacs detailed on the bottom of Dion's skirt and a lilac bracelet on his right wrist to signify the first emotions of love and exorcism (since Dion spent lots of time with Hecate, goddess of witchcraft, growing up). Dion's curse comes from her connection to Precious, the next Hades, and Prim, the next goddess of spring and Dion's current love interest (also developed by the ingenious @dearsleepingflower) where Precious is an emotionless husk meanwhile Dion feels his emotions to a greater extreme. however, she doesn't know about the link, so he blames it on her zodiac sign. don't go yet i'm still babbling--for the details within her outfit, i incorporated play masks for her earrings, a snake necklace, ivy on her corset, grape vines as the laces on her boots, wine bottles for the heel, and even wine within the ball of their shoe (though it was hard to translate that with very dull colored pencils with no sharpener apart from the 3 classrooms at school). commissions are still open! #everafterhighoc (at Ever After) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcOdNXBLs30/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
