I just bought a new pc and I'm eaiting for a friend to videocall and help me put together this expensive jigsaw which gives me time to think about what i wanna do with it.
I know what i wanna do with it; so do you have any favourite The Eldered Scroll: Oblivion mods you'd recommend?
Oh congrats on the new PC!! Good luck on the building though!
As for mods, I actually didn't use a lot of mods for Oblivion. I didn't want to bloat the game too much last time so I didn't do much to it. But that does mean I picked stuff I knew I was gonna enjoy! It's a short list.
This isn't really a rec you just kind of Need It but Unofficial Oblivion Patch. You just kind of need it for a lot of mods
Better Magic Leveling adjusts the rate at which Restoration and Destruction levels so that it's more in line with the other magic schools. Those schools level pretty slow otherwise which sucks so lol
Quest Reward Leveller will make it so leveled quest rewards will scale with you even after you've received them. So now if you get the weakest possible version of a quest reward you don't have to worry about it becoming absolutely worthless to use later down the line when you've outgrown it!
Crowded Cities adds a bunch of random npcs to cities. Self explanatory. I just like having more than 7 people walking around what is supposed to be a large city and this helps.
And finally. To everyone's fucking surprise: Clannfear Companion Wilson Redux. This adds a clannfear companion named Wilson to the game. He comes in different colors you can choose and the colors have different abilities. I personally hate how saturated the fancy Wilson colors look, so here's also a texture replacer for him that tones down the colors and makes them look more natural.
Next time I do a playthrough of Oblivion I'll definitely look for more mods to try, but these are the ones I've personally used before. Have fun!
