I hope you don’t mind a message from a rando but I’m a senior undergrad art student and I wanted to say the maturity in your fine art work is honestly incredible! The thought you put into your pieces is like that of someone beyond your age! There’s a large emphasis in art schools on commercial arts, I think you really have a great conceptual strength for fine art (but take that with a grain of salt!! The most important thing is finding your own path that makes sense for you and your work!)

this is such a thoughtful message i’ve kept it in my inbox so i can look at it now and again :’) thank you!!!! it’s so reassuring to hear that from someone more experienced! ty for your advice -- i might not know exactly what path i want to follow right now but i want to make sure it is true to me and my work!

I still translate stuff on asl all the time altho id say I'm more conversational than fluent. My girlfriends native language is German and she says stuff in German sometimes and will say stuff in English that's the literal translation from German so in my experience it never stops :P

i guess im glad that its continuous practice but i don’t have the brainpower to always be partially focused on language and still be able to be a funcitoning human?? this is absurd

are you still trying to actively learn or you just still remember what you learned in high school?
