i'm writing on obsidian and i have a couple of plug-ins on at once so my formatting just random gets weird in my sentences and i have to figure out what word is pissing one of my plug ins off to fuck up my writing and i basically have to go:

"okay, so that sentence is so bad that even a fucking robot hates it. received."

It's learning that being a bother can be a love language; that putting in extra work to make someone happy isn't necessarily a red flag for your relationship with them; that people like to go out of their way for the people they care about, and you don't have to feel bad for enjoying their kindness.

I'm so grateful for my system.

ao3 is the only organization that i will accept celebrating holidays in silly ways. shout out to them for their amazing sense of humor and still being the one organization that i openly love.

rant under cut

the difference between them and the other companies is that the other companies want us to show empathy and humanize themselves to distract from the other horrible shit they do or to capitalize on groups of people

ex.

Google's whole redesigning their logo for each holiday to distract from every other horrible thing they do

companies changing pfps and logos rainbow for pride month but only as a marketing strategy and not actual support

but funnily enough, ao3 is just so cool that they dont have anything to distract from or capitalize on. they don't do shady shit, they're a group of volunteers and weird people (lovingly) that just want to protect fanworks and innocent hobbies from censorship and capitalization. they don't need to capitalize on any groups, they don't make money, and even if they did, they obviously care way too much about their audiences to use them.

so shout out to @ao3org and @transformativeworks for being so cool and protecting us and also for having a great sense of humor.
