              A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME, the universe in a nutshell, the fabric of the cosmos.  they're all on the reading list for the students he'll be lecturing tomorrow, and putting together a presentation isn't one of cameron's favorite things.  presenting them, even less so.  he has never been much of a public speaker, but spreading his knowledge and passion for what’s out there makes it worth it.  he has read as many books on space, astrophysics and the like as he can find over the years, but he's still speed-reading one of them right now to figure out a less COMPLEX way to word things for the starry-eyed new astronomy students.  with a few books tucked under his arm and his glasses perched upon the bridge of his nose as he scans another, cameron begins slowly walking out of the aisle toward the desk, eyes glued to the page.  how can he simplify the cosmic microwave background radiation and the cosmological redshift-distance relation?  maybe he can——               cameron’s thoughts come to an abrupt halt as he suddenly collides with someone, breaking his concentration.  “ sorry... ”  blues finally glance up from the book and to the stranger.  and his heart leaps into his throat.  not a stranger.  the person who knew him more than anyone else in the WORLD once.  the person he'd tried his damnedest to find after coming back to san francisco.  the person he thought he’d never see again.  “ ...eli. ”  a name that hasn't left his lips in a long time, and now it's nothing but a whisper, the book almost slipping from his hands and his legs feeling as though they’re going to give out beneath his body.  there's so much he wants to say —— so much he wants to do.  and yet... he’s standing here, frozen to the spot in SILENCE; eyes large, mouth dry and heart racing.

              WITH A WEARY GRUNT, blurry light filters into the younger winchester’s eyes as he comes to.  as his vision sharpens and clears, the first thing that comes into his sights is a familiar face.  “ ......jack? ”  sam sits up, but scrunches his eyes shut as pain sears through his temple, prompting a hand to press against it.  then there's a violent sting along his abdomen —— and sam tugs up his blood-stained shirt a few inches to find bruises and a patch-up job.  hazels raise, locking upon the mechanic again.  “ how'd you find me? ”
