"Just what do you think you’re doing?”
Elorshin flipped around to the direction that the voice came from. Standing in the doorway to her bedroom was her brother, Dior. He had already pulled his wand from its holster, readying a spell.
“I won’t put up with this anymore, Dior. I won’t stand by as you destroy our home.” The golden elf said as she finished drawing the circle of light next to her. Dior recognized the spell as soon as its runes formed, etching itself into the floor.
The prince scoffed “So you’re just going to run away? Fine. But not with all that power. That only belongs to a true Evermeet royal.”
Before Elorshin could respond, Dior already had his wand pointed at her and he began casting a spell that his sister didn’t recognize. As soon as the beam of light met with the sun elf, she felt her power being drained from her, as if the magic she had learned and gained over the years was being ripped out of her.
The princess sunk to her knees, trying and fighting to keep herself upright.
“Dior please! Don’t do this! This isn’t like you!”
“You don’t know anything about me.”
At this point, the elf had two decisions; stay and potentially be killed along with all of her loved ones, or run to her slowly closing teleportation circle. And she decided she at least had to try. After a quick interruption of Dior’s spell with a barely functioning counterspell, Elorshin lifted herself to her feet, using her staff to lean on. With tears in her eyes, she stepped back into the portal, watching her brother’s figure disspear as the light of her spell consumed her.
