Copper writing accountability 2026: 7 june 2026
Doing this so I keep remembering to write <- forgets.
This year I have a formal goal of 26,000 40,000 words, and an informal goal of “finish herald (question mark)? ”
today i wrote: 396 words
my total so far is: 39,157 / 40,000 words! (93.23%)
excerpt from today:
“Is everything… alright?” Alex hazards. “We’re fine,” Leo says, almost automatically. “Uh huh,” Alex mutters, unconvinced. “No, we are,” he says with more force. “It’s just…” He sits down on the bench behind them. “Fuck.” “What?” Alex sits next to Leo, his cane in between. Leo takes a few breaths. “I worry,” he says, ending it as though two words was a complete sentence. As though it explained itself.
thoughts: leo's doing great :) he's having a wonderful time and his week isn't about to get so so much worse or anything <- lying
