Life is about learning and growing. You encounter events early in life that shape the way you think, understand and cope. Nothing changes the way YOU see things or how your respond to them. They say perception is everything, while that may ring valid for some for others it gives a glimpse inside of another person’s world. No one is crass or impersonal by choice, something happened to them to make them respond the way they do. They may have just came out of a storm that took everything they physically, mentally and emotionally had, as a result their drained. Things that are meant to be funny, doesn’t make them laugh. Rewards and gifts aren’t things of honor or joy. Pain is dealt with in silence. They seem as though they are cold and like being alone. General conversation may be difficult or at least it appears that way for those who don’t know. Comments may come off as mean or insensitive. They don’t open up as easily if at all with those they may spend countless hours with daily. They are often told they are “honest”, “blunt”, “mean” or “direct”. They aren’t invited to events because everyone assumes they will not join. When they do decide to speak up they are quickly reminded why they stay to themselves. So they continue to move forward they only way they know how......in silence and on their own.
Perception in my opinion isn’t everything......maybe you should take a moment to look at yourself and understand why something offended you, or why you feel the way you do about certain situations. What life events have you experienced that made you who you are today?
