Pulled Pork Tostada with a Mango Slaw and a Homemade Sweet Chili Hot Sauce 

A few weeks back my brother and I celebrated a launch party for the new Hungry Youtube channel. We we're told to prepare a dish for the event but the catch was, we didn't have to cook it... The event was for around 600 people so they hired a catering team to prepare our dish. I sent them the recipe along with this picture as guidelines to create something I thought represented the Brothers Green pretty well!

Well this pizza goes out to a longtime Everyday Appetite and YuNork fan who just created his own college bases cooking show called Mmm University. I stand by my words Scott!

Homemade Chipwich 

I figured it was time I paid homage to one of my all time favorite snacks. Anyone who has one of these straight out of the dried ice cooler from the ice cream guy on the beach, im sure can relate to how I feel. There's nothing better then hanging out ocean side battling to take down your entire Chipwich before the sun takes it from you...

Mini Apple Pies with Ginger Butterscotch Caramel 

I had a pretty fun few days as the standby chef on chopped this week. Unfortunately no one bailed out so I didn't make it on the show but I did meet a lot of awesome chefs! I also had a hilarious 6:00am run in with judge/chef Alex Guarnaschelli this morning, she seemed a bit out of it... Oh yeah, I also got one of those badass official chopped chef jackets! Well, I finally had some time today to make these little pies...

Carrot Cake Doughnuts with a Walnut Cream Cheese Glaze

Yesterday my roommate Michelle showed me a sweet doughnut spot in Manhattan called the Doughnut Plant. The creative variety they had for sale blew me away! Not to mention they were incredibly moist and fluffy. The one doughnut they were sold out of was the Carrot Cake so I took matters into my own hands...

Sushi Tacos with Sesame Miso Marinated Skirt Steak, Sauteed Green Onions and Spicy Soy Mayo 

Just got back from San Francisco with a whole lot more knowledge then I ever had in Asian Cuisine. My buddy Pete Lee has been living out in San Fran for a good 5 years now so there was no issue finding some of the best restaurants that were a bit off the path of the classic tourist destinations. He took us to his buddies Korean Fusion joint called Namu that was actually closing down and moving to the Mission (Brooklyn type area). We let the waitress take control of the ordering, and things got pretty intense... One of the dishes was a Sushi taco similar to this recreation I just whipped up. Thank you Pete Lee and San Francisco for one hell of a food experience!

Strawberry Balsamic Basil Creme Brulee 

Creme Brulee.... One of the most temping desserts on that god damn dessert menu. It's amazing how full I can be yet still fall for the temptations of this custardy gold!

Strawberries are coming in hard right now, and im not talking about the mutated oversized grocery strore berries. I mean the little wild babies that are packed with about double the amount of flavor. Go to your local farmers market and give them a try, you dont need many to snaz up any dessert! Here's little tip, strawberries, basil, and balsamic vinegar are best of friends...
