sometimes being an adult is having to go out of your way in exceedingly inconvient ways to do what you need to because the authorities in your life ignored you when you said you had things to do, only to then chastise you for not managing your time better.

sometimes being an adult is watching the authorities in your life blow half of the very little money you have to last until the next payday on useless shit of no value like cigarettes, and then bitching to you about how we don't have any food for dinner.

sometimes being an adult is being chastised for sleeping in one day a week, being blamed for plans falling through, and being scolded for arguing against that decree while the authorities will confidently omit how they refused to tell you what timeframe they were operating in or how they've been drinking since 10am.
