i am unstoppable
since this is a modernish!au, their hair dye situation is Iffy, At Best. mostly them scuffling around for expired product and anything that won't wash out in two showers and a dive in a lake, and god knows they trade an Unforgivable Amount of goods for anything that isn't raw chemicals
bouncing off the last idea, they probably have a lot of their "natural" colors starting to shine thru. caitlyn's got a dozen streaks of black poking out from her roots, and vi's hair is riddled with stray little tufts of light brown
caitlyn's preferred weapon is probably a scoped rifle with a light stock and ebony finish. the kickback would Suck, but having it be light makes it so much easier to swing it around to put it up or to aim at a different target quickly
vi's preferred weapon is her fist (thumbs up emoji)
for real tho, since getting up close and personal with the infected is Not Advised, vi probably favors a wooden bat. the metal on bats can lead to some ugly recoil, so she prefers wood bcus the recoil is lighter, wood bats are easier to replace and easier to make if hers breaks, and they're way easier to modify with wire and knives too
caitlyn's from a quarantine zone while vi is from a part of one of the cities people blew up in an effort to kill the infected. i imagine vi was probably found by the fireflies after this, but she went AWOL on them when they couldn't help her provide for powder
POWDER is here btw! she for sure has trouble accepting caitlyn, but after a close call with a bloater and vi out cold, the two of them learned how to stand one another
vi cannot drive. caitlyn cannot drive. powder insists she can, but powder cannot drive. as useful as a car is, none of them understand it (ESPECIALLY if it's a stick shift)
caitlyn always goes out of her way to share bits of food with wifelife, and vi pretends it bothers her bcus caitlyn's "wasting food," but she really thinks it's unbelievably sweet and sometimes offers to share some of her own food with caitlyn cus she "isn't hungry enough to eat it all"
