okay so this might be like the dumbest question you've ever gotten (so judge me and shit i guess) (also i apologize for cursing on your blog) but since your muslim, does that mean you celebrate christmas? because as an american, we've kinda made it the american christmas of giving presents and santa claus and the christian christmas of jesus and bethleham and all that. so do you participate in the gift giving at all, or is christmas just another day? i don't know i'm real confused i'm sorry mwah
Hahaha no no, not a dumb question at all.
Hm. The simple answer would be no, but I guess I like going into detail about things like this so let me just explain real quick. I guess I participate in the cultural aspect of Christmas. In the sense that I give my Christian friends gifts + receive gifts from them. But I kinda look at it in the sense of "exchanging gifts" rather than "celebrating Christmas". Like even my parents give their Christian friends gifts, I mean, it's y'alls holiday and why not show our respect for it! I do also adore tacky Christmas sweaters. Idk, I think my participation in some minor aspects of Christmas doesn't have much to do with the religious aspect of the holiday, but more with the cultural aspect that's been added over the years.
Plus, I can assure you that Muslims get just as excited for "the season" as Christians do! Christmas music is my shiznit.
I hope this makes sense!!!
