For the fandom meme! Parks and Rec, MCU, and Game of Thrones.
oooohhhhhhh my god ohhhh my god you are the best oh my goddd
Parks and Rec:
Favorite Male Character: This is so unfair. IT’S SO HARD TO CHOOSE IT’S SO HARD. uuuuuuuuugh ummmmm RON SWANSON. nO. BEN! NOOO! ANDY! NOOOO! TOM! NO! CHRIS TRAEGER! NO! BOBBY NEWPORTFavorite Female Character: THIS IS SO UNFAIR. Number one would have to be Leslie. Actual hero. But Number 2 is a toss up between April, Donna, and Ann. And Tammy 2. Basically everyone is my favorite character. I waffle (hahahhahahahhhahaha) between them constantly.Least Favorite Character: Back when he was on the show, I was never too keen on Brandanowitz…Favorite Ship: LESLIE AND BEN LESLIE AND BEN LESLIE AND BENFavorite Friendship: Ben and April’s always gets me. Also Ron and Leslie. And Donna and Tom.Favorite Quote: “Everyone’s got something they’re in charge of for Leslie’s campaign. My job is the song. She originally put me in charge of hot dogs at this fundraising barbeque, and I dropped them… all of them. Like, a thousand. So. I reeeeeeeally wanna do a good job.” (Okay so there are a thousand quotes to choose from here, but this is the first one that came to mind. Just something about the way Chris Pratt says that makes me dissolve into giggles every single time, and I’ve watched that episode like 3 times now)Worst Character Death (if any): LI’L SEBASTIAN don’t look at me I’m cryingThis made me so happy you have no idea Moment: THE ENTIRE EPISODE titled ‘Ben and Leslie’ for obvious reasons. Also Leslie’s speech at the end of ‘The Debate’ annnnnnnnd her speech at the end of ‘Win, Lose, or Draw’Saddest Moment: Ben breaking up with Leslie but being so supportive of her at the same timmmmmmmme UGH THEY ARE THE WORSTFavorite Location: THE PIT. I WAS IN IT, THE PIT. YOU WERE IN IT, THE PIT. WE ALL WERE IN IT, THE PIT.
I’m putting the rest under the cut because obviously I don’t know when to shut up.

13. Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people?
oooh, this is a good one. See, I never EVER used to share my art around. Like. Ever. If someone grabbed my sketchbook from me, or looked over my shoulder when I was drawing, I near had like a nervous panic attack thing. I never wanted anyone to see what I had drawn. I remember multiple occasions where I engaged in a psuedo tug-of-war for my sketchbook with someone who wanted to see it. It was like a self-conscious, middle school thing that stretched into a self-conscious, high school thing that stretched into a self-conscious, college thing, but eventually I kinda grew out of it. For me, sharing my art around finally was a sign for me that I had actually come into my own - that I was proud of who I am and what I like. Which was amazingly difficult at times.
I still do get nervous sometimes about sharing my art, and still a lot of old family friends are like "oh my God, I have known you all your life and I never knew that you liked drawing so much," so sometimes i have to kind of like... force myself to post some stuff, but it's getting easier and easier. Now I really do enjoy sharing my stuff - especially on a medium like tumblr. Though I tryyyyy not to get a big head about it. There's a line between being proud of your stuff (good) and being pompous about it (bad), and it really shouldn't be about how many notes it gets, though I'm also really proud when people genuinely seem to like what I post.
Still not okay with people snatching my sketchbook. My sketchbook is like a diary to me, and what I put in it is deeply personal, even if it's just a million drawings of, like, guppies or something (it's happened, I have the evidence.. in.. my... sketchbook). I like choosing what I share and when I share it. I think this is pretty much true for everyone who isn't dead above the neck though ;)
18. What are you currently trying to improve on?
The ever-present struggle against switching to all digital art. I just can't get used to doing the entire thing in photoshop. I'm also trying to do backgrounds more, too. Which includes conquering the bane of my existence, perspective.
24. Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired? (Be honest!)
Ooh! Alice and I were talking about this I think at like the start of the summer or something. It's kind of a mixture of both? Sometimes I see something and I get a pang of despair, like 'GOD I am NEVER going to be able to be that good - how do they even DO that?' In fact, a lot of the time, I feel almost hopelessly amateur. And then I have to slap myself and be like 'well. These artists probably practiced a shitton.' Every artist's work is indicative of a long journey of practice and work. And then you have to kind of look at it as like 'what is it about this artist or this piece that I find particularly interesting? What did they do that made it so compelling?' and then you can incorporate elements of what you like into your own work - without stealing something outright, of course. I try to keep it in perspective. Art is a process. The artists that I admire most have spent years working on their own style. Art is a constant process, and I think there are always things that I will want to be working on, and I think I will always be able to find inspiration from other artists, and I will also always be able to develop my own, new style - I just have to take it one step at a time.
You can tell a lot about someone by the type of music they listen to. Hit SHUFFLE on your iPod, Phone, iTunes, Media Player, etc. and write down the first 20 songs. Then pass this on to 10 people.

1. It was a long time coming, but I like my art style at this current juncture in time. I mean, as always, there’s PLENTY to work on and things that I REALLY NEED TO PRACTICE, but I feel like I’ve finally found a style that feels like me, ya know? This was not always the case.
2. I just made some homemade mac n cheese and it was pret-ty delicious.
3. Speaking of cooking/baking, I loooooooove making pies.

(oops, posted this before I was ready)Oh well this is cool! Hmmm…1. I have these huge, fantastic eyes. They have gold rings in them, which I think is really cool.2. I am a great quilter, as I've found out recently.3. I'm better than I think I am at running. I can run slightly faster than Congress on a hot day. On that note, I ran a mile today.4. I have a very pretty singing voice. It's not where it used to be, and that makes me sad, but I'm working on making it better.5. I am the mom of my friend group. If you are not feeling 100%, I will take care of you.
just bought some mink jawbones...
... for my altoid-tin altar. Wooo! Well, I bought one for me. Gonna send the other one to madnessmadness for ART!
Mink is interesting in that it's one I never work with, but it seems fitting. I'm thinking of pairing/balancing it with mouse, maybe using feeder mouse parts. dunno yet.
That feel when some one who doesn't know your Art-conscious A+ Human friend finds their art as fantastic as you do~
