She had come, seeking him out at the church where he stayed. It wasn't all that unusual to find him here, given he lived here. She wasn't sure exactly how it worked, since she didn't think the Church had plumbing or a shower, but she didn't ask. She wanted to know of course, but didn't think that she wanted to know what Cloud would respond with. Either way, when she had arrived he'd been there. It wasn't like he had been waiting, but he hadn't been working either. She had thought that odd, but hadn't questioned it either. She knew she would appreciate being questioned herself, and it was easier not to prod at Cloud. If he had information, he'd usually give it freely if it mattered.
The skies had been dark when she first arrived, dark clouds heavy with rain. She could smell it in the air, the scent of renewal. She hadn't seen anything on the tv though of any concern, but she hadn't really been paying attention either. So halfway through their conversation when it began to thunder she thought nothing of it. However, she paused as they spoke as rain began to pour in from outside from the hole in the church's roof. The air had gotten cooler, and now with the rain it was dropping even more. It looked like neither of them would be leaving anytime soon.
"...So, what are we going to do now? I hope you don't mind me staying while it's raining." She might have left, if not for the howling of the wind and intensity of the lightning.
