My Review....This is the stand out book for me so far this year. Written in a conversational style, there's such honesty here. I related to many of Helen’s musings on an eclectic range of topics, and I really connected with her comments on aging in the chapter - The Insults of Age. Everywhere I Look had me laughing loudly and then while reading the very moving story about her mother, I was reduced to a teary, reminiscing mess! She managed to bring back a flood of memories about my own mother that I really wasn't very proud to remember. Books like this, that make you smile and feel happy to be alive are rare books indeed and Helen Garner has written it perfectly! This book is all about being human, warts and all. Helen you're a treasure! - 5 stars.
