Marry Me || Eve & Max
[After somehow managing to make her way down the aisle without tripping, by the time Eve got to the alter where Max stood, she was already crying. Breathing heavily through the usual things said by the minister - or in this case, her Uncle - Eve, reached out to take Max's hand, not looking away from her feet. Giggling nervously after the attention had been handed to her, Eve looked up at Max, a small smile tugging upon her lips.]
Okay. So I’m going to admit right now that I totally messed up with writing these. You can ask Gabe or Isaac, because they’ve both seen their fair share of me in the past two weeks where I’ve been sitting up at four in the morning trying to think of words to say that can let you know exactly how much you mean to me. It was hard, but I’ve found that I can do anything for you when I put my mind to it, so.
Max. I honestly never thought I’d see the day where someone was able to tie me down. Especially not the elder brother of my best friend, either. On the day I met you, something changed about the world. I started smiling; I stopped questioning my entire life because after a small amount of time, I figured it out that you were the answer. You have always been the answer. You’re my Batman, you’re my hero, you’re the one thing that can pull me out of a bad mood and I’m pretty sure that you’re the only one in this room that I haven’t tried to stab yet. But more importantly, you’re my other half. You’re the sun to my moon and I don’t know where I’d be without you, genuinely.
It’s safe to say that I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but when I’m with you, none of that matters. It’s cliché, yeah, but you really do make me a better person. I mean, you made me watch Star Trek and I didn’t fall asleep once. That’s got to count for something, right? I’m so completely captivated by you. You’re the most interesting thing on the planet to me and I’m definitely sure that no matter what I do in life, as long as you’re there, I’ll be okay.
I don’t know how to turn off the romantic stuff – or the tears – so I think it’s about time that I gave in to my emotions and got this out of the way, because we have a life together to start as Mr and Mrs Perkins, and I promise it’s going to be amazing.
