Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say because Rozanov's head whipped towards Shane.
"No, I did not answer your boring text. Now, will you go?" His eyes were filled with an emotion Shane couldn't place, but it looked a lot like Please, stop doing this to me.
Shane knew this was the moment he should give up. He should go back, probably say sorry for bothering him, and quietly leave Rozanov in whatever was going on in his pretty head. Still, Shane didn't want to do that, because despite Rozanov's words urging him to leave, his body was telling a different story.
