Victim of Eve teasing in Childhood

Story 1

I was in 5th grade, and I always used to go to my father's shop to give him a lunch box. And our house is so near from our shop. One day I first time wore jegins and like everyday that day also I went to my father's shop and gave him lunch and after that I returning to go home and there was crowd because near our there is cinema theatre and at that time all people's are going to home after watching the show and I'am also going to home but in middle of that crowd some one touched my bu*t but i ignored then someone touched my bu*t then again I ignored that because scared of my dad I thought that he will scold me but he noticed that man and my dad went to that man and beated him so hardly and from that day my father become real hero and the ideal example for all those dad who can't able to protect their child or don't take actions against wrong people /wrong doing. -Anonymous

At that time I was just 13. I went to a fair with my friends. We all were sitting on a roundabout and we noticed that a guy wearing red t-shirt was staring us and also his friends were doing the same thing. Then our rounds were completed so we get out of that swing and started visiting to the shops and that guy keep following us for the few minutes.Thanks to God that I met my brother who was not really my brother but I used to call him brother. We complained him about that red t-shirt guy and he scolded him but I don't like few things he said that I can't stop him from doing such things because he is a guy but I assure you that he will not stare you and your friends. Like why the hell men can't stop making women feel uncomfortable. What the heck is this that guys are horny the can't be stopped girls need to be in control. Also I remember one thing my friend said that let him stare he can't do anything except staring us. Bro why to let him stare just because he's a guy? I've always thought that if I'll ever be in this kinda situation I'll beat that man but believe me you can't do so. -Anonymous

I was in a temple and there was a long queue to go inside it. There was a young man. I was in a queue with my family and my uncle and aunt. That boy was trying to touch me. First, he started making irritating sound and started whistling. And then he started to skip line just to touch me. I tried to ran away from there which was not possible for me. Even the people around me saw him making irritating noise and tried to touch me. None of them take action towards it. I was so scared! I cried when we left the temple. There are some people in this world who wants to do this in holy places!! Bid to combat drugs, eve-teasing

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: The Negative Phenomena Committee held a meeting yesterday, to discuss a proposal which has been submitted by the committee members calling on the Council of Ministers to establish a joint committee comprising members from all relevant government agencies to combat the negative phenomena in society, such as drugs, community violence, harassment of the fair sex, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The meeting said the public benefit associations and specialists must be called upon to study the causes, implications, motives of such phenomenon and how this phenomenon should be treated.

The head of the committee, MP Badr Al- Dhahoum, said the issue was discussed in the presence of the concerned authorities – the ministries of Interior, Social Affairs, Health, Awqaf and the General Administration of Customs.

All those present during the meeting have agreed on the importance of the committee to discuss the causes of the phenomena, foremost among which are drugs.

Everyday, in every corner of India, girls have to face eve teasing. Eve teasing can be a comment passed on girls or can be as horrific as this of chasing someone (as alleged).
