Everyday, in every corner of India, girls have to face eve teasing. Eve teasing can be a comment passed on girls or can be as horrific as this of chasing someone (as alleged). Most of the times, eve teasing is ignored thinking that it is a very minor problem and young boys do this for fun and have no intentions of harming anyone. But then we forget that in most of the Rape cases, the rapists start like this only. When they are not stopped at the initial stage, they move ahead with their criminal intentions. Apart from this Eve teasing has horrific impact on young girl's mental state. This pushes them to the verge of depression and can make them suicidal too. Jagori, a feminist organisation under the support of the UN and the government of India had conducted a study in India, where they had declared high percentage of the cases of eve teasing . This case is under investigation. We can not tell what had actually happened. If it is true, we have lost one more life to eve teasing. It is high time now to raise our voice against eve teasing.
