Shattered Glass
Deluxe Class
Blurr
by Hasbro (2021)
Pre-ordered off of Hasbro Pulse and it arrived in the mail on 08-28-21
Shattered Glass Blurr is a repaint of the Studio Series 86 movie Blurr figure.
The toy was also packaged with a comic book from IDW.
Vehicle Mode:
Car mode is a dark blue and black Cybertronian hover car with some silver accents.
I have always liked Blurrs vehicle mode.
I like the three pointed angles at the front, the antenna on the back, it’s always been a fun mode for me, and I like it more in these colors with the electric effect painted on the hood area.
The vehicle mode also has weapons storage. Not a fan of it, but it’s there.
Comparing SG Blurr to the SS86 one.
Transformation:
Transformation really isn’t too difficult, and it is kind of fun.
Robot Mode:
That robot mode...I was indifferent about the SS86 robot mode, but this SG version is really, really loose. I am really disappointed with this figure. It looks good, and it stands okay, but it’s just so floppy in some areas.
What I really like about the robot mode is the head sculpt. It’s unique for SG Blurr. He’s got a sinister grin, and an eye patch, you can tell this Blurr is a real son of a slagger.
He does pose well when he’s not being floppy.
But it’s it’s those ‘sleeves’ which are the biggest offenders. They don’t tab into the forearms, so they just flop down so much.
I mean I guess it kinda looks like he’s dancing, but still...quality control issues...
Getting SG Blurr to do the one-legged pose was a little bit of a challenge.
Accessories:
Blurr’s only accessories are his laser rifle and welding gun.
Final Thoughts:
Shattered Glass Blurr is a good looking figure, and I’m always happy to ass another evil Autobot to my evil Autobot team. Unfortunately the quality control issues with the loose parts can’t be ignored.
"So they think my inventions suck do they? Well watch this!"
*rebuilds Trypticon*
SG Wheeljack for Wheeljack Wednesday + bonus SG G1/Action Master Slicer version cause I love all Wheeljacks.
I have a dumb headcanon that all Wheeljacks just have a thing for dinos, either subtle or just all out obsessed. I like to think regular old TFA WJ lowkey wants to rebuild the big purple T-Rex, but doesn’t “cause he’s not very nice.” SG Wheeljack just did it anyways, cause he could.

Generation Selects
Shattered Glass Optimus Prime & Ratchet
by Hasbro (2021)
Gen Selects Shattered Glass Optimus Prime and Ratchet was a set I was looking forward too. This was an Amazon exclusive, and really all they are, are repaints of the Earthrise Optimus and Ratchet.
Ratchet (Evil Autobot Medic):
Evil Autobot Ratchet is...still an ambulance...but an evil ambulance.
Still cast in white plastic, with teal, clear plastic windows, and a purple (or is it pink?) Autobot batch on the roof.
Vehicle Mode:
The exposed robot feet are still present on this mold.
Robot Mode:
In robot mode evil Ratchet, again has no mold changes; he’s all repaint, is white and teal cast plastics with some purple accent colors on his shoulders, and his forehead chevron.
I even like the dark gray face and the red eyes.
As you can see, the differences between the two Ratchets are all in the paint shceme.
Optimus Prime (Evil Autobot Leader):
Evil Optimus Prime is still a truck, but no trailer for this toy, unfortunately.
Much like the MP Shattered Glass Optimus I got for my birthday two years ago I would have preferred the damaged windows to be sculpted, and not simply painted. Still, it’s a nice effect.
Vehicle Mode:
It rolls well, as toy trucks are supposed to do, and that’s just fine by me.
Comparing Gen Selects SG Optimus to my KO SG Optimus you can see that the official one is more pink, and the KO (which is based on the original Botcon version is more pink.
I also would have preferred the BIG Autobot badge on the side of the truck of the KO.
Robot Mode:
Optimus Prime is robot mode is, again, a repaint of the Earthrise version.
I love this pose, especially the way the light makes his red eyes pop.
Evil Optimus comes with a removable Matrix (of Conquest, I’m assuming).
And comparing my KO evil Optimus to my Hasbro version you can see the older mold it slightly larger, and of course, more pink.
Final Thoughts:
I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again, I love the concept of Shattered Glass Transformers, and have another evil Optimus Prime, and to FINALLY have evil Ratchet is a real treat for me.

Transformers Generations
(Masterpiece MP-10+)
Shattered Glass
Optimus Prime
by Hasbro (2016)
This was an unexpected second birthday present.
The concept of Shattered Glass began with the 2008 Botcon Convention set of an alternate universe featuring the Evil Autobots VS the Heroic Decepticons, and it’s been something which I really enjoy.
This evil version of Optimus Prime is virtually identical to the MP-10 version, minus a few accessories.
There’s a link at the bottom covering my previous review of MP-10.
However for starters I would like to address the box; the toy itself might be a Masterpiece, but the box itself has been packaged as if it’s part of the Transformers Generations toyline, which is a little odd to me. No where on the box does it say this is a Masterpeice figure, nor do I see a number which is typical of Masterpiece figure, such as ‘MP-10+’ or anything like that.
I’m not sure what the decision behind it was, but I wanted to point that out.
I also really like the box art of evil Optimus Prime about to execute his Decepticon victim.
Vehicle Mode:
For vehicle mode Optimus Prime is a flat-nose cab over engine truck. No surprises there.
The vehicle mode is solid, and it rolls well. That’s really all I have to say about that.
No Optimus is complete without his trailer, and this one is as black as his spark, er, ember.
Transformation:
Transformation isn’t too complicated, if you have MP-10 you know what to expect, and if you don’t it’s really not that bad once you get used to it.
Robot Mode:
The one thing I would like to say about this Optimus which I think Takara could have done exclusively for this toy was that I think the window pecks should have been re-sculpted to allow the bullet hole in the center of the cracked window.
I think something sculpted would have been so much better along with the painted crack lines. Just saying.
Optimus’ energon axe is a translucent green, and I have to say I like with his pink color scheme. For some reason it just adds to how off an evil Optimus Prime is.
I find it odd that the Matrix (of Conquest, I’m assuming) shares the same color of the Matrix of Leadership. You’d think it would be darker.
Final Thoughts:
This is my first, official Shattered Glass Optimus Prime, my previous one in my Classics collection was a knock off (also click on the second link below to see that one).
Shattered Glass (MP?) Optimus Prime looks good, it feels good, and has all the plusses and minuses as the original MP-10 does.

Transformers Timelines
Deluxe class
Wreck-Gar (Shattered Glass)
This version of Wreck-Gar is a previous Botcon exclusive from the Shattered Glass toy line featuring the Evil Autobots, and the Heroic Decepticons. This item was purchased on Ebay towards the end of September 2019.
Wreck-Gar is done up in Insecticon colors, and the mold is from the 2010 Reveal The Shield toyline.
I’m not going to go into a full review of this toy, but I will say I do like this toy.
It has an abundance of personality, it poses well, and that head sculpt is just so cool.
I do have the regular versions of this mold (though they are in storage currently) so I only have Power of the Primes Wreck-Gar to compare it to.
If I were to make one complaint, transformation to his dirt bike mode can be a real pain in ass. Sometimes it’s such a huge challenge to tab and peg everything into place, that I almost lost my temper with it, and finally in order to work around that frustration I resorted to take the arms off the sockets, assembling the vehicle parts properly, and popping them back into place. it was annoying, but it worked...
But otherwise Shattered Glass Wreck-Gar is such a fun figure, and I’m happy to add him to my slowly growing Shattered Glass collection.
