Does anyone else see the vision, or am I going crazy??? It's so brat x brat damer coded. It's like less angsty hucklerobby. I just think that Abbott, with all his life wisdom and suffering, could teach James some empathy.

in light of season 2, i want murder-suicide evil hucklerobby. where robby kills dennis immediately prior to his suicide with the pharaoh logic of wanting to bring his possessions with him to the afterlife

He doesn't necessarily mean to keep the place dark for when Dennis arrives. Robby's just out of the habit of turning any of the lights on. No next of kin for the state to dump his debts on top of, and all his bills are paid, anyway, but he thinks that it's a considerate touch.

But he feels it, when Dennis arrives. Feels the way the kid's hind-brain jumps into alertness, the way he blinks away the dark when Robby opens the door and has him pass underneath an arm to enter. Libates in the way his own nervous system mirrors; his pupils wide and dilated, jaw slack, he doesn't take his eyes off the centre of his chest. People telegraph their next move from the middle out. You can see everything from there, like ESP.

He feels like he's hijacked the kid's body already, just from looking. Feels like he's already spread his seeds too far in. Saw it today, in all the little tics and turns of phrase Dennis has picked up over the last 10 months. Feels in control. Feels like this is the only thing he has control over. He's done one thing right, here. Here is the proof of the lightness of his soul. Here is the aching, boy-shaped wound he carries in the air around him. His whole frame warps and wraps around that hollowness inside him.

He has to stop calling him 'the kid'. He'll only psych himself out.

can we hear more about robby’s molested vibes. what was the inciting incident etc and how does it map onto the robby we see in the show

its purely vibes (mostly how similar he is to trinity, martyr complex, general humour style) but im sure i can put together a cogent proposal forward at some point. Should It Please The Court

i would say its likely an early-mid teens boy (lacking parental figures aside from his grandma, probably neglected) taken advantage of by an older woman type situation, not necessarily recognising it as molestation (even if he would do as an adult; one rule for thee and another for me. Yknow)

i understand that a. dennis is an adult and 2. the appeal for a fix-it therapising fic HOWEVER you haveee to understand a hucklerobby situationship under these circumstances would result in the same kind of dynamic as when you had that adult internet friend that you used to have to semi-regularly talk down from suicide when you were a kid
