Vince Gilligan & George R.R. Martin Laugh Together Over Their Evil Machinations: A Very, VERY short stage play.
At Rise: Modern Television and Storytelling geniuses VINCE GILLIGAN and GEORGE R. R. MARTIN are sitting in leather, wingback chairs before a large, crackling fireplace. Each holds a tumbler of whiskey.
Vince listens to George’s story as he strokes his glorious mustache malevolently.
George: … And then this girl at the San Diego Convention told me that she just had to say one thing.
Vince: And that was?
George: Robb Stark was - and I quote - “The Cuuuuutest guy ever’ and she hoped that he’d find, ‘Someone Nice’”
Vince: She didn’t!
George: Yes. Poor girl. Doesn’t she know not to bait me?
(Vince snorts with laughter into his glass of whiskey. Long Pause. Each drinks from his glass as the fire continues to crackle in the background.)
George:…Hey, Vince? I just have to say one thing.
Vince: Yeah, George?
George: I love Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler SOOOOOO MUCH. They’re so CUUUUTE together and I hope they live happily ever after!!!
(Pause. The men then break out into DISTURBING, MANIACAL LAUGHTER.)
Vince: (In the middle of laughing) Season Two of Better Call Saul, HERE. WE. COME!!
(Vince and George then high five buddy cop style.)
