Pragmatic || Ivan & Chaos
"Rather astute of you, young man. You are leagues above others of your kind to know this. Everything that lives is born to suffer, and that is a fact of life."
Ivan glanced over towards the darkly clad red head, expression stoic. He only then let out a small sigh as his eyes turned up to gaze at the dimming sky. "All those who have lived as long if not longer than myself should be aware of this. Yet many will often delude themselves with rose tinted glasses unfortunately."
Ah yes, viewing the world through such pretty lenses must have been nice. So wonderful that those who pleasured themselves in doing so had such a grand luxury. No, not he. Many years ago did the nation cease the childlike wonderment of the world and see all for what it really was. The good and the evil were not in such stark contrast as night and day. Everything blended and mixed together to where one could scarcely pick apart the pieces. That is to say he came to understand that all was nothing more than a grey area.
People were good.
People were cruel.
They were endearing and yet insufferably selfish.
"We suffer because there is no other way to truly live. If you go through life as if it were a ball all your days then you have made yourself ignorant, your life meaningless." Ivan spoke as if he understood intimately this outlook on life. His very mind was after all shaped by the twisted ventures of his life, thus why wouldn't he?
