❝ i haven’t been hugged in years. ❞
“Years, huh? I’m fairly certain I hugged you last week.” He teased and gently wrapped his long arms around her, pulling her into his embrace. Hoshimaru let his hair fall over hers, his head resting over hers. “I missed you. You don’t have to say it back.”
He listened quietly to her words, keeping the smaller being close to him. He understood where she was coming from. Here, in his small home, they didn’t have to think about their pasts. They could just be normal for once. Hoshimaru stroked her back, hands reaching slowly upward to caress the spot where her hair met her neck, massaging there. “I know the feeling. I think I can live with that. Here you can be anything you wish, love” He whispered into her ear, kissing it lightly. “Let me make you some tea.”
“No. I don’t mean your filthy apartment.” She tried to joke and bring some light into the moment. “ I meant you. Whenever, wherever… If we are together I want it to be just us and that moment nothing else.” Why was it so hard to explain what she felt? “ Everything is moving too fast, everyone is moving on with their lives. I need time to stop sometimes…” She was rambling and barely making any sense. And she didn’t want Hoshimaru to stand up and leave her to make tea. Beryl wanted to stay there in his arms for as long as she could.
He nodded a little bit, trying to wrap his tiny brain around it. She didn’t want to move from his embrace. She needed things to stay still for even just a little while. He kissed her hair and decided to just shift them instead, moving to lay on his couch, pulling her to lay ontop of him. His hand continued to play in her hair. It was as silky as his own. He wondered vauguely if any children they had would have such amazing hair.
“Ah.” Hoshimaru smiled against her hair. “Then just stay in my arms as long as you wish. In my apartment, outside of it. Wherever you want me, I’ll go. I’ll give you this peace as often as I can. I don’t like seeing such a beautiful woman upset.” He tried to compliment, his free hand reaching for one of hers, kissing the back of her knuckles. “Just stay right with me.”
