For a moment she had to mentally remind herself not to pull away, though her mother's touch was gentle on her head. The girl was still adjusting to touches that wouldn't lead to pain or a shot. She turned the book to show Regina the cover, "White as Snow." She read the title, "It's interesting," smiling slightly she marked her page with a slip of paper already covered in doodles of apples, and trees, and tower with birds flying past. "I wasn't allowed to read much in the hospital."
Regina eyed the book with hesitation, almost scowling at the title. This was almost just as bad as Henry’s favorite book. In fact, it could be worse. Henry knew Regina was the Evil Queen, but Rapunzel, she was fairly certain, did not. So, she leaned over, scanning the page illustrated with apples and trees and such. “That’s too bad, dear. Perhaps, I could take you to the library sometime.” Her voice was slow and a bit distant as she continued to eye the book. “Do you mind if I take a look at that?”
