Eviltwin Brewing India Pale Ale – "Consumed 15 today, Diane. All Galaxy". The quote might be inspired by this Twin Peaks Sketch at Saturday Night Live from 1990, in which Coop speaks to his dictaphone at 0'50: "Consumed 15 donuts today, Diane. All jelly. I'll be injecting my Insulin in four minutes." [via]

Heart of darkness x Eviltwin brewing NYC.
Once in a while you get oversold on attractive copywriting. This one is called When You Open This Bottle Real Raspberries Will Fly Out IPA.
Um, no, none did when I opened it. I was half expecting the juiciness of a hoegaarden rosé with the awesomeness of an IPA but to be honest, this is a meh beer that tastes like a meh witbier. Some credits are due for the slight raspberry aromas. 6.2% abv.
I’m having a few of these tonight.
Here is Molotov Cocktail, an Imperial IPA by Eviltwin Brewing. This weighs in at a staggering 13%ABV.
This is a sipping beer, not a chugging beer. That's cool with me, I love intense flavors. Intense is a great way to describe this. It punches you in the mouth with strong malty base heaped with hops. You can tell there's a lot of alcohol in there but it's smooth, mellow. Sometimes when something is brewed to have a high alcohol content is tastes sort of sharp, has a cheap-vodka sort of taste. Not this, I would swear it was aged if it wasn't an IPA (IPAs don't age well and the hops fade). For being so darn strong, it's well balanced. No one aspect is too strong or too weak. What more can you ask for? Nice creamy texture, this makes you want to keep taking another sip.
The hop profile isn't really citrusy, it's a more mellow hop blend. This was an expensive beer (almost five dollars for a twelve ounce bottle), but of course this is also a very expensive beer to produce.
I would buy this again, 8.8/10
