everything of mine has been nautical and/or water themed lately. last week i was messing around with the words “set sail” from another song of mine and ended up making an 6-part harmony of sorts. first, basses and tenors would enter, then altos, and then sopranos. (i had to sing the men’s line an octave above) after finishing the harmonies, i went ahead and improvised/recorded the main melody line once through, though i should have re-recorded it (you can probably hear my grandma doing the dishes in the background). then, i added in the guitar and another harmony above the main melody. i think it turned out pretty well, but you might have to turn up the volume for the last half. the lyrics for the main line are basically- now is the time to find the seas (x4) now is the time to find the sea now is the time to sail the seas i didn’t ask for this i didn’t ask to be alone now is the time to sail the seas (x2) now is the time to find the seas (x3) now is the time to find the- to find the- find the- (x8) the, the, the, the- (x5)
