EVISU denim magazine advertisement (2004)
My evisu type 2 jacket without the collar is just bomb. Haven't seen much of this kind of jacket so the first time i came across this, i was sold. Didnt wear it a lot cos i was too caught up with the rest of the gear. I guess I'm more of a wear it on special occasions when it comes to this pair. Well, everyday is a special occassion if you think about it so i might wear it more often from now on.
“In 1991 a young Japanese designer from Osaka, Hidehiko Yamane, launched his premium denim brand, Evisu. Named after the Japanese god of money and fishing, Evisu, the brand was founded on the principles of high-quality denim-wear manufactured using traditional, labor-intensive methods. Indeed, production was initially so time-consuming that Yamane could produce only 14 pairs per day, signing each pair with a hand-painted seagull on each back pocket.” (1991)
