she  should  have  known.  should  have  known  that  he  would  go  overboard.  yet  her  smile  cannot  be  any  brighter  and  her  eyes  have  grown  misty  from  the  words  so  fondly  written  on  the  album.  if  she  thinks  more  about  how  everyone  who  comes  across  a  copy  can  read  what  she  just  read  word  for  word,  she  might  just  never  step  out  of  her  apartment  again.  “i  was  right.”  she  announces  with  a  sigh  at  last,  still  a  little  dazed  from  the  amalgam  of  affection  and  joy  for  his  much  awaited  break.  “you  are  the  cheesiest  man  in  the  world.”

"hey... you! i remember you." it probably isn't very polite to shout something like that across the aisle of the grocery store but in her excitement, peach doesn't particularly care. she abandons trying to decide which cereal she wants to pick up in favour of making her way towards them. Sadie had picked up a part time gig bartending for extra cash. The apprenticeship was great and she was learning from some great artists, but the city was expensive. And maybe she was a bit of workaholic in the nontraditional sense. It was always her favorite nights when Oakley would come and hang out until after closing. Sadie closes out her till and pockets her tips before turning to face the other, "Should we have one for the road?" She smirks leaning across the bar. "Unless you're in a hurry to walk me home."

it sucked, being in the same crowd as her ex, but it was an inevitability. a group ski trip was supposed to be a great outting, but everyone else had gone to their rooms, and nolan was sitting alone in the lounge, drinking scotch next to the fire when they appeared. "well, we made it through an entire day without killing each other," she said, offering her glass in a cheers. "i say that's progress."
