Beata Beatrix From Latin beata = blessed plus viatrix = traveller, voyager. Later corrupted into Beatrix (trnslt: blessed one) and popularized as given name by the namesake character in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.

A Radiant Lotus portrait and my submission for TennoCon 2026's Community Art Showcase.

This started out as a pencil sketch on paper. Once I got the idea down, I scanned it and used it as "base" to work on digitally. Added all the missing details, fixed the mistakes hands continue being my worst enemy lol and eventually moved onto coloring and making the background. Shoutout to the "Illustrated Atlas of the Universe" I own since freakin' 2005 for all the hi-res photos from Hubble Space Telescope used as inspo/reference for said background.

But because I'm as slow as a snail, it took 3 months of work (sketch was done in early February) to be finished. :P

Despite PC (mis)adventures, I am still drawing. The old fashioned way. Which I never ever truly abandoned (all of my sketches still start out on actual paper). Mentioned not installing CSP in another post and, tbh, given the latest developments - for the unaware - it's for the best. *Cephalon Cy voice* Formatting it is. Yay.

Doodled this yesterday no the date ain't funky, we use day/month/year format over here because the waiting was driving me crazy. And honestly...This sparks joy.

Even though the anatomy is complete whack. Even if the lines are super messy. Even if I got some small details totally off here and there. I don't care.

Sometimes you've just got to get things out of your system. I'm looking forward to resume drawing on my tablet as soon as PC gets fixed. And finish that "Beanframes 1999" series of stickers I started before update dropped, too.

Beanframes 1999 - Arthur and Aoi

Introducing this small no pun intended personal project with our favourite sopping wet beast steadfast hero boy and Queen™ of magnetism.

Plan is making the whole Hex team in this style and - eventually - print them all as stickers.

It's a first time for me, I have no idea about whether I'm doing things right or no. Time will tell! >:D Unfortunatelyit's higly unlikely I'll be able to get them all ready by the time update launches in December. It would be a nice way to celebrate its release. Alas I'm about to switch from old (potato) PC to new one (FINALLY!) and I won't be able to draw at all for a few weeks at best. :(

Back to work on the Beanframes stickers. Next is, of course, Arthur.
