Honestly, Tvyek is pretty miraculous. It’s permeable to water vapor but not to water, it’s nearly impossible to tear, but can be easily cut. It’s cheap and made entirely without binding chemicals. In addition to being used for wristbands, it’s used to wrap construction sites to keep out water during construction, for tear-resistant envelopes at Fed-Ex, coveralls for mechanics, and my wallet, actually.

Fun tip, though it looks like paper, Tyvek is plastic, and cannot be recycled with paper.

• Glittering Generalities: Using vague, emotionally appealing words (like “freedom” or “justice”) that sound good but lack specific meaning.

• Transfer: Associating a person, idea, or product with something already respected or disliked (like using a flag, religion, or celebrity image) to carry over those feelings.

• Name-Calling: Attaching negative labels to an opponent or idea to create fear or distrust without real evidence.

• Card-Stacking: Presenting only positive information for one side and leaving out or distorting the negatives.

• Testimonial: Having a famous or respected person endorse an idea, product, or cause.

VOTE IN YOUR LOCAL ELECTIONS FOR PEOPLE YOU ACTUALLY LIKE. Presidential candidates don't just fall fully formed out of the womb onto the campaign trail. They go through YEARS of a government career starting super local and working up through the chain. Voting in every election is how you finally get people you like into the ranks. But right now the people who show up to the small elections are those people with strong senses of civic duty who tend to be a lot more traditional democrat/republican (or very far right problematically) and vote for more of the same people you don't want because they can't envision anything else. Show up. Swing the votes. Find the people you want. Put them into rotation.

Rewatching the VOD version of Devstream 196 on Twitch (because apparently the YT version cut the countdown segment) and listening to the track I believe - judging from the blatant overarching leitmotif - is from the upcoming Jade Shadows Constellations...

However at some point the chorus from Roses from the Abyss the part which (roughly; not entirely sure the lyrics are 100% accurate) goes "silentium, silentium, nos fortes sumus" can be heard in it. As in, not the song randomly popping up, but this specific bit of it within the track itself.

Beata Beatrix From Latin beata = blessed plus viatrix = traveller, voyager. Later corrupted into Beatrix (trnslt: blessed one) and popularized as given name by the namesake character in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.

This started out as a pencil sketch on paper. Once I got the idea down, I scanned it and used it as "base" to work on digitally. Added all the missing details, fixed the mistakes hands continue being my worst enemy lol and eventually moved onto coloring and making the background. Shoutout to the "Illustrated Atlas of the Universe" I own since freakin' 2005 for all the hi-res photos from Hubble Space Telescope used as inspo/reference for said background.

But because I'm as slow as a snail, it took 3 months of work (sketch was done in early February) to be finished. :P

Hm, hi! How have you all been? Guess who forgot about logging in on Tumblr for a whole year? Yep, this silly here.

I don't know what to say, really. Aside from the fact that maaaaan, do I feel a little lost and confused. I see the enshitification is spreading, nicen't.

Don't expect as much activity as in the past, from this blog. I'm planning to do a big overhaul, little by little. Turn it into an archive or something for my doodles while this platform still exists (however long that might be still).

I can't promise it will be constant uploads but...gotta (re)start from somewhere, right? :3
