“Hi, Mandy!” The large-nosed boy exclaimed excitedly at seeing the pointy-haired blonde. He was heading the opposite way it seemed, excited about whatever shenanigans he was getting into. He didn’t even notice that who he assumed to be his friend had just materialized there from seemingly thin air. He rushed past in such a blaze that he didn’t even seem to care even if he did.
After a moment of reprieve in Endsville, which was a rarity in and of itself, they can hear an echo of: “Hi, Mandy!” from around the corner.
“Bye, Billy.” Came the immediate response Mandy had, watching the boy rush past. She had just gotten out of school and wasn’t going to get pulled into whatever he was planning today. Granted, she didn’t know that she already was.
Well, at least she was somewhere else.
