How did you get your daughters to forgive you after you embarrassed their mother publicly? Asking for a friend

When I played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels, I had to transform myself into a young Alec Guinness. I watched his early work to see what he was like on screen, and it was such a thrilling part of the job. I gave them the legal right to kill me if I slip up again. It is interesting how he is only remembered by people younger than myself for appearing in Star Wars. He played a wealth of characters in lots of films- it was like he was the British film industry. Brilliant actor.

what does your ideal day look like?

I go for a quick ride around the entirety of the highlands on my motorcycle first thing in the morning. Then I come back to have breakfast (a perfectly ripe avocado with a perfectly boiled egg, and a little bit of caviar on top) with my beautiful wife Mary. We read our lines for our upcoming prestige TV show, The Man and The Woman. It starts as a tragedy about an A-lister who gets framed for adultery, but it has a happy ending as everyone who lied about him immediately dies and he gets married to the love of his life, White Brunette Co-Star, in the Scottish countryside. After that I phone my friend Charley Boorman to call him poor. Next I go visit my daughter Clara and she lets me in, and she pitches an “Instagram” “reel” idea to me. Then I go and buy another grey cardigan as I’m running low on those. Then I get a call from Disney and they confirm the Obi-Wan Kenobi show has been renewed for a thirtieth season, where Obi-Wan meets the green bitch from the Ahsoka show and they have a highly charged sexual relationship . I go and celebrate with my family, and Ev comes along because she’s pretty cool. Finally, I smoke a thousand cigarettes to make up for lost time. Something like that. Xoxo

lets forget about hayden. tell me about your foray with nicole kidman and your opinion on tom cruise and keith urban.

Miss Kidman is such a brilliant co-star of mine… I did not have relations with her because I’m a married man and adultery is wrong. She reminds me of a daffodil, or a perfectly boiled egg. For some reason Clara and Esther don’t like me talking about her. Sad! Keith Urban is Australian. Tom

would you ever direct again?

After American Pastoral all I wanted to do was KILL MYSELF. I didn’t care though. The only thing I would direct now is the youth to the outdoors…. !

how do you feel about your fallout with danny boyle? what did you think about the beach?

I think Danny Boyle is a brilliant director, you know, for the longest time being a Danny Boyle actor was an integral part of my identity. I was his silly rabbit. Him and Andrew MacDonald and John Hodge were amazing people to work with, we were like the film equivalent of that sort of cool Oasis britpop thing going on at the time. It’s all water under the bridge now. We made T2 which was a movie. I wanted Leonardo dead but luckily there are other films
