“You know, you look a lot better in blue and grey.” The Master of Kurain said. “It suits you a lot more than pink and red.” The man embracing her laughed. “I can’t argue with that; then again when can I ever argue with you?” 

Wrapping her arms around him tightly, Maya nuzzled into his neck and laughed, blushing lightly. “Mhm.” She sounded. “You know you can’t ever refuse me; after all, we’re two parts of a whole.”

Phoenix Wright stared at the woman in his arms and smiled. He kissed her forehead and whispered, “What did I ever do to deserve you?”

Maya’s face turned stoic (for once!) as she replied. “Phoenix Wright,” she started, “You know very well that if it’s between us, I’m the one who doesn’t deserve you.” She sighed, breaking eye contact. “I’ve only ever been a burden to you...”

“Maya...we’ve been through this before.” Nick replied without hesitation. “You’re not a burden--you’ll never be. You’ve been there for me every step of the way, and I can only hope to do the same.” As soon as Maya looked back up to his eyes, Nick was slightly surprised to see tears in her eyes. “N-Nick!” She cried, wrapping her arms around him even tighter. “You cheesy dork!”

Nick laughed at the 29 year old once more. “I’m your cheesy dork.”

They stopped and stared at each other, and slowly came out the words that no matter how many times he hears come from her mouth will always somehow surprise him. “I love you so much, Nick.” She said as she closed her eyes, sighing and relaxing in his arms.

An emotion of warm, beautiful love enveloped him as he smiled tenderly at the woman of his dreams. “I love you too, Maya.”

it took me over 7 hours to finish rendering this thing and honestly i’ve never been more proud uwu

i stayed until 5 AM for this;; and i have no regrets

ACTUALLY the original idea was for Phoenix to be Feenie again (I’ve always loved Feenie x Maya but like older) but then I was like “but I don’t think there’s any way for Phoenix to revert back to his old, super dorky young self.” So I decided to give him a scarf (which is from Maya) that’s blue and his usual grey sweater/jacket thing

so yeah. That happened.
