I was having a conversation w/ my ex kurt.
I was telling him sorry I wasn't as awakened back then.
I didn't realize he did know who I am and given that I should have treated him better

2k16: -probably less likely to suck than 2k15
i have this sort of ridiculous superstition that whatever I’m doing on New Year’s Eve (especially at midnight) metaphorically sets the tone for what I’ll be doing for the rest of the year.
If so, I will be metaphorically yelling youtube karaoke into a wooden spoon with a couple of old friends/former houseys, all of us recovering from break-ups, and exploring my new voice (courtesy of HRT).
SOUNDS LIKE A PRETTY BITCHIN NEW YEAR, EH?
the metaphor seems rife with awesomeness.
The last part of 2k15 was pretty rough in a lot of ways, but also the break-up seems to have kicked my life into high gear, change-wise, and I am feeling pretty good about that.

post-break up dreams with clear metaphors:
1) I’m sorting thru a bag of potatoes my housemate left in the hallway (this she actually did, she is an international woman of inane mysteries), and NONE of them are good. every single one has green/soft spots, fuzzy soft spots. I say “[housemate], we’re going to have to throw these all away they’ve gone bad.” Housemate says “All of them? Aren’t there any good ones left?” and I reassure her, “No, there’s nothing to salvage, we’ve got to throw them ALL away.” ALL THE ROOTS DONE GONE BAD, Y’ALL.
2) My mom is in town and we’re hanging out and [ex] keeps popping up inexplicably. I keep telling them to go away because for goodness’ sake, WE ARE BROKEN UP, and also I see my mother very rarely (usually 1-2x/2 years), and GIVE ME SOME SPACE, holy hell. But ex keeps popping up. My mom is like “ohh, you know, maybe you two should talk!” And I’m like “NOPE!”

when you text your best friend about a dream you had the night before about your ex and how much it rattled you and she takes half an hour to talk it out with you and then says... " *big hugs* it was just a dream and now your reality is way supportive of having dreams that do that." im so lucky.
