Does anyone care about Michelle Thomson? The ethically challenged, morally bankrupt disgraced ex SNP MP?
Now fresh from what she is calling "completely exonerated" - but what the Crown Office merely called the "absence of sufficient... evidence" to convict - investigation, Thomson is bleating about how unfair life is at the hands of the SNP.
Since the closure of the investigation (for now) she has been at pains not to fault the police or prosecutors but she has demanded an apology from her erstwhile ‘best buddy’ (& SNP leader) Sturgeon for her treatment by the SNP.
“Sorry” seems to be the hardest word...
In her whining about being under investigation, for shady property deals completed with her even shadier (long-since struck off) lawyer, and her get rich quick at the expense of people on distress or suffering from illness, she wants sympathy from the public for ‘two years of hell’. (Two years during which, lets not forget, she did not resign her seat, vacate the public eye or stop drawing salary and expenses! Hell indeed...!) And what is it she now says was so hellish? Her treatment by the SNP!
"I feel that with the current leadership, because it is the current leadership, the process appears to vary on who it is. If you think about SNP male MPs that have had difficulties, are (sic) we all been treated the same?" Thomson
Imagine how shocked (and full of sympathy for her) we are now supposed to be upon learning that: she was ‘bullied’ and coerced, that she had nowhere to appeal to because the SNP chief executive is married to the party leader, that she was targeted because she was a woman, that she was not given a hearing...
Even ‘funnier’ then is just how many of those EXACT same complaints have been repeatedly levied against her party since long before her fall from grace. Complaints which seem to appear nowhere ion any list of concerns she previously had as a party member, candidate or MP!
So, Michelle, the complainer who says its been hard for to find another job; Michelle who still has the profits from her shady house deals, still has a commons pension; and Michelle who - most scandalously of all - still has her freedom (due to a lack of compelling evidence - and not because of a complete exoneration) - we DON’T GIVE A TOSS ABOUT YOU... ! OR THE STRESS YOU CLAIM TO HAVE SUFFERED, OR THE LOSS OF YOUR CUSHY JOB (PARLIAMENTARY SEAT)!
YOUR TREATMENT BY THE PACK OF LYING WOLVES THAT YOU RAN WITH FOR SO LONG - that have since turned on you - IS THOROUGHLY DESERVED & NO ONE has any sympathy for you. Least of all those who saw you profit from their former homes!
If the public feels bad its because there are STILL people out there who lost-out because of your sleazy deals! THEY deserve our sympathy (and any apologies that may be doled out by the SNP!) Fat chance!
The police investigation was for alleged mortgage fraud. What is not denied is that she was active in ‘back-to-back’ sales or remortgages (many on the same day) of properties being sold, in some cases by sellers suffering serious illness, for instant high profits.
Thomson “categorically denied that vulnerable people had been targeted for property deals, adding: ‘If there's anyone who does feel aggrieved then I can only apologise’” No, Ms Thomson - you could repay them the ill-gotten profits of your multiple sleazy deals! You could do that...! At the VERY least!
“FORMER SNP MP has escaped prosecution after a two year police investigation into property deals involving homes bought at knock-down prices from desperate people” The investigation related to properties bought for tens of thousands of pounds below market value from people in personal or financial difficulties and then quickly sold on for a far higher price.
In 2010, a 77-year-old cancer victim sold her home to Mrs Thomson's business partner for £64,000 before he then sold it to the former Edinburgh West MP on the same day for £95,000.
The SLEAZE Continues now...
Thomson is not sorry for bilking sellers and for causing distress, she is evasive more than repentant. Note the language this woman trickster uses: in her statement, Thomson said: “Yesterday I received news from the crown office that confirmed I have been completely exonerated by the police investigation into a solicitor I used in 2010. I am eternally grateful to my SNP colleagues in Westminster who supported me so strongly throughout this time.”
The investigation was not “into a solicitor” - it was into her dealings, along with those of her business partners and her lawyer:
The Crown Office: "The procurator fiscal received a report concerning four men aged 48, 56, 59 and 59, and one woman aged 51, in relation to alleged incidents between June 16, 2010 and July 26, 2011.
"After careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, Crown counsel concluded there was an absence of sufficient credible and reliable evidence and there should be no criminal proceedings at this time."
In fact SHE was reported to prosecutors for investigation related to her business dealings. Those deals included her struck-off solicitor but she,every bit as much as the others, was the subject of police investigation (which had an inconclusive result)! Her playing with words (claiming ‘complete exoneration and trying to doge being herself under investigation), to try to climb out of the stink hole she put herself in, betrays that she remains - at heart - a sleazebag. A whining, SNP, play the victim, sleazebag.
Can it be long before this former SNP frontbench Business Spokesperson - is back in business with the SNP?
