How to prevent exam breakouts !
Okay everyone how y’all doing? Idk about you but my skin FREAKS out whenever I get even a lil bit stressed, so over the years (I’m in my last year of a levels) I’ve gathered some helpful tips that help my already acne prone skin not breakout too badly around exam time...
1 - first things first, wash your face daily (I wash mine twice a day using proactive) ya know the drill
2 - another is the obvious DRINK WATER or GREEN TEA because that shiz makes more of a difference then you realise
3 - so if you get a lump under the skin that’s painful af and you know it’s a pimple deciding to come through, what I do if apply the MARIO Badescu drying lotion with a Q-tip straight away (or before bed)
4 - use a mask once a week, usually a calming one works best for me (like yes to cucumbers calming face mask) or a de stress one (like the freeman anti-stress Dead Sea mask) these work wonders and save you some dollar $$$
5 - so I’m a makeup wearer, and it actually helps if a go a full day without wearing make up but if I’m leaving the house then I like a lil something something to help me out like the bare minerals blemish ready concealer, it just covers any spots whilst not clogging pores etc verrrry helpful during exam times
6 - when I’m revising I tend to rest my head on my hand, but I try not to touch my face because that can spread bacteria and we do not want that :(
So those are some tips that help me, they might seem obvious or generic but if you actually stick to these especially around exam time you will see a difference!! Now go back to revising and get off tumblr ;)
