   “ us?” peter echoed, leaning his head back and letting out a soft laugh. “ I think...I’m gonna have to disagree.” grinning at her, his eyebrows raising up just a bit before he added. “ respectfully, disagree.” putting a hand up, as if to try and explain himself before he could say anything to make it sound worse. “ I’m definitely not perfect. or an angel. I just, uh--I think any good that comes from us, comes from you mostly. I’m not self-deprecating enough to say you’re perfect, though.” scratching at a spot behind his ear, a spot that didn’t itch. “ maybe, seventy-thirty. the--the thirty being on your side.”

             Gaze stares at the stranger as she spoke,   eyes moving down towards the unconscious bodies.    She could’ve done much worse,    and despite the alarming scene everyone was  mostly  alive.     The clone ponders an answer for a moment,   merely staring down as one of the guys stirs and she places her  foot  on their back.

            Yes,    she did.     Unapologetically it seemed,    as the clone returns the claws back into their resting spots between her knuckles.    For now,   at least.

HER RELATIONSHIP WITH KITTY PRYDE can only be described as “tumultuous” and “eventful.” she remembers when the two of them were kids, back when they were either at each others’ throats or best friends on their way to a dazzler concert. these days, they’re definitely more steady, “friends” more than anything else, though they both bear too many scars. 

deep down terry knows kitty has every right to ask where she’s been --she’s been gone for years and they’re hardly strangers to one another. but at the same time, terry just hasn’t gotten used to letting herself be vulnerable like this --she’s never been good at it.

  “ well,” he began, keeping himself stuck to the wall. resting his arms on the top of his thighs as the stuck out. “ just because I take this all seriously--doesn’t mean I can’t have a bit of fun with it, right?” there were a few goals of his when it came to his alter ego. things he wanted people to feel when he came around. feeling safe and protected was at the top, but having a bit of levity wasn’t the worst thing to feel either. “ hopefully, I’m not seen as a class clown or anything. though, I do think some of my jokes are pretty worthy of a laugh.”

lines from 2021 that made me lose my mind

  he was somewhat of a visual person, so hearing something like that? he absolutely was trying to picture it. and it was not at all, an intimidating sight. “ okay, I have to be completely honest with you...” putting his hand up with a bit of theatricality, “ I’ve never experienced that. but--considering how the universe loves making me eat my own words...I wouldn’t be surprised if, I have to do that by the end of the month.” doing his best to not crack up under his mask, though a few slipped through despite his efforts.

“ I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” putting both hands up as soon as his laughter was heard, “ I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing at...who you...had to...scare...with a cupcake. okay, I’m laughing at you.”
